I can honestly say I was turned down by Madonna! smile

Eon is looking closely at this release and it's pending success. If this does well, 2018 is gonna be looking up!

AMAZING! Never thought I would see this.

I'll certainly be buying this, since I love Arnold's Bond scores, but I hope everyone out there buys it, so we get plenty more Bonds!

When we started 15 years ago we had lofty goals but never in our wildest dreams did we imagine that our label would release music from Star Trek, X Files, and Batman let alone ET, Jurassic Park, Braveheart and Titanic. Now that we have a Bond title I can just call it quits...but we won't.

You guys are legendary.

Now THAT is great news. I'll be picking up a copy for sure.

Wonder how many copies it would have to sell for them to consider it a success.

ABOUT TIME we finally get some attention shown to Bond and what better way to begin (hopefully) than with a 100+ min score that was abused on original album with only 45 mins of score.

To La La Land... THANKYOU

and btw any info on what the film version of certain cues are as they are the same length as the album versions??

Should be no ifs, ands, or buts. It's James Bond and David Arnold in his prime. Of course it's gonna sell!

Well I think you can call it quits when you get a Star Wars, an Indiana Jones and a Harry Potter.

I am actually curious about something that I hope MV could possibly answer. Do the other past "prestige" scores you have released, like Braveheart, the Jurassic set and now Titanic, give you a certain kind of cachet or leg up when speaking to other licensors? Basically, does it give you evidence to show them how their product would be treated? Of course you can show sales figures and the like, but is Eon more likely to agree if they see that you released other major scores? Or is it all about sales? I am curious if this and Titanic may start a snowball effect with other recalcitrant labels.

If sales help future Bond releases, i'll certainly buy this, also because the best of the score isn't on the original soundtrack release

Well done

People, buy this! If you only know Arnold´s score by the pitiful truncated release in 2002 you will be amply rewarded by the magnificent work Arnold really has done for this film.

Incredible words! Exactly what I'd hoped to hear. To think that good sales on this title alone could lead to additional expansions on other Bond scores? Just amazing.

I will be buying it if it helps get the other Bonds released. smile

I do like the DaD score, so it's not a forced purchase.

Like many, I hope more Bond scores will come out—and I hope they come out from La-La Land because I trust that label more than others when it comes to this material.

Don't ask me why.

But I get it that for now, it's just this one.

If I may fantasise:

What I really dream of is all the scores between From Russia With Love and The Living Daylights getting the 2CD treatment: album programme on one disc (with bonus tracks) and C&C film programme on the other.

Failing that, at least the so-far unexpanded ones plus Thunderball. (There's still more music missing from Thunderball than there is from Moonraker. Just sayin'.)

But anyway, massive congratulations to La-La Land on getting this release and all the others in this batch.

Cheers

It was an excellent decision to make Die Another Day their first Bond, as so much was missing from the original album. Had they started with Tomorrow Never Dies or Quantum of Solace - scores for which most of the music was available on the original releases - they might have been slower to sell out. I want to see DAD sell out FAST.

LLL, thank you for this release and especially releasing in the protection that is needed to preserve such a great score!

So excited for this. There was so many great tracks missing from the original release which favoured the techno-sounding tracks. I hope people can see past the terrible film it was wedded to, and the mediocre first release, and make this a fast seller to potentially pave the way for more Bond.
I'd love to see them begin with the other David Arnold scores, which have fewer complications than the earlier titles.

I desperately hope this sells well - and then I hope for an extended release of Bond scores in this order:

1. John Barry´s THE MAN WITH THE GOLDEN GUN
2. John Barry´s MOONRAKER
3. Michael Kamen´s LICENCE TO KILL
4. Marvin Hamlisch´s THE SPY WHO LOVED ME

Desperately in need of expansion or original score tracks are TSWLM, Octopussy, Moonraker, TMWTGG, FYEO, AVTAK and TWINE.
In that order !!!!

I'm sure most of us here already own all the Bond movies, but just FYI -

DAD is free on Amazon Prime, so you can watch it again and maybe only listen to the music and try to ignore the visuals and story and dialogue... http://amzn.to/2BlXuMk

Not a single one. They're all shown on TV in the UK every year. I've seen them a million times over anyway!

I'll bet a lot of people here have the majority of the albums though.
