[I don't recall from memory which Saimel CDs were restored/mastered by Mr. Saiz himself.
Actually, the Saimel albums which I do remember (older releases) were restored/mastered by Claudio Fuiano:

-) Les Biches
-) Quando Le Donne Si Chiamavano Madonne
-) Berlino, Appuntamento Per Le Spie
-) Attentato Ai Tre Grandi / Africa Ama
-) Il Malato Immaginario
-) Strogoff / L'Udienza
-) Ciao Gulliver / Senza Via D'Uscita
-) Dottor Jekyll E Gentile Signora / Mystere
-) L'Orchestra Rossa

So ... there have been Saimel CDs for which had Claudio worked on the sound elements and I am curious as to when Juan Angel has been mastering albums himself.

At first you have to distinguish between titles that were owned by GDM or Cinevox and which were formerly released by Saimel and on the other hand titles from the CAM catalogue which have been released by Saimel since 2014. On all of these GDM/Cinevox titles the mastering had of course been done by Claudio Fuiano. But you have to bear in mind that all those titles you mention above were released at least 5-10 years ago (!) on Saimel and certainly not during the last 3 years.
In my posting above I had written only about the titles from the CAM catalogue which have been released on Saimel since 2014 and for which I have written the liner notes. On all of these the mastering has been done by Juan Angel himself.
The first CD we did together was Rota´s THE RELUCTANT SAINT - and this was also the first Saimel CD with a title from the CAM archive:

I was under the impression that music from the C.A.M. vaults was able to be 'rented' for film productions (for stock/library music tracking purposes) and was, also, available to be prepped for potential album releases since they listed their recording holdings in 1991 for possible future 'club' CDs.

Partly wrong impression. CAM did release the titles from their own archives almost always only on their own label (there were exceptions for the Japanese market on the King Records label) during the 90s - if at all. In 1991 CAM had tried to start a special soundtrack club series with releases from their catalogue only for club members and limited to 500 copies. At that time they sent out this list and searched for collectors who would be interested in buying the scores from their vaults. Only two scores then got released in this special club: LA SPOSA BELLA and STANNO TUTIT BENE (as a special edition with an additional Morricone/Tornatore interview). Nothing more because there were too few members and CAM´s whole idea of a special soundtrack club totally misfired.
Then in 1992 CAM tried to release a lot of their old LPs from the 60s/70s in a regular way on CD, but just too many CDs came out at the same time - I think there were 25 titles at one time and a few months 25 more etc. Also these CDs didn´t sell as well as they had originally thought. Therefore from the mid 90s onward CAM released fewer and fewer of their old scores on their own label, but they were also not willing to license their older stuff to other labels anymore. So almost everything came to a halt during the following years. Only in 2004 these doors which had been closed for so many years - and in the late 90s/early 00s we all thought these doors would now be even closed forever! - could be opened again. And only this decisive event in 2004 was the starting point for all the great releases from the CAM catalogue we have got till now from all the various labels.

Thanks, again, for the info, Stefan.

Seems there has always been a paucity of customers for this niche area of music.

Returning to the thread topic, I have been listening daily to I Dolci Inganni since I got this CD in the mail last week.

I am considering placing this score on my Top 10 Piccioni albums (knocking off Il Bell'Antonio from its position in tenth place)!

Now THAT'S a recommendation! I must tell you, your opinion means a lot to me now because I'm pretty much starting out with this amazing composer.

Since receiving Le Monache di Sant'Arcangelo in the mail last week I've been absolutely nuts over that score. It's a favorite already and I'm ready to continue exploring!

Sure!

Beware my tastes lean toward descriptive dramatic music more so than the lounge/erotica which Piccioni is most known for. Here's my bakers' dozen faves:

1. Tomba Aperta … Una Bara Vuota, Una
2. Faro In Capo Al Mondo, Il (The Light At The Edge Of The World)
3. Straniero, Lo
4. Demonio, Il
5. Monaco, Il
6. Salvatore Giuliano
7(revised). Dolci Inganni, I
8. Mani Sulla Citta, Le (my former #7)
9. Bacio, Il
10. Senilita'
11. Bell'Antonio, Il
12. ...Dirai: Ho Ucciso Per Legittima Difesa
13. Senza Via D'Uscita

Which version do you have? Which one is the best?

The most recent edition of Senilita' (the 2014 CD via the GDM label) is the most satisfying to me, primarily because there is more music but also because the 'bonus' tracks offer this Piccioni score more runtime duration to develop and linger with the listener.
The initial C.A.M. LP program (which was reissued by C.A.M. on CD decades later) presents Piccioni's music with short selections.

The knotty flute is some business, but the bass tumbling down the stairs offers some stiff competition.
