Pete 'n' Tillie at last ! Its main theme is a killer ! I think it is the only theme in the score. (watched the film a couple of weeks ago)

Pete 'n' Tillie at last ! Its main theme is a killer ! too bad the Bergmans song didn't make this new edition. A welcome release anyway ! I'm surprised, too, because Universal would certainly control the recording Carol Burnett did, and which I still have on a 45.

Verese's website sucks. will not allow me to change my cart to one!! Or is it your browser that sucks? No, I had problems with the number in my cart. I put a 1 and the final cost showed if I had ordered three. anyway. got the puppy.

I'm surprised, too, because Universal would certainly control the recording Carol Burnett did, and which I still have on a 45. Carol Burnett's recording is controlled by WEA and was done for her album later on. The promo recording was done for MCA and is therefore controlled by UME. Williams had nothing to do with any of those and the song is not sung in the film. It was wonderful to just get NBC Universal to agree to this, let alone attempt to bring in two major record labels for material not recorded for the film which the Maestro would not have wanted to include anyway, and which can be found elsewhere. Once again people need to realize that NBC Universal and Universal Music Group (which has the MCA catalog) are two completely different companies with no corporate connection. NONE. That ended 13 years ago. Mike M.

Thanks for the info, Mike. I have a couple of source cues from the film, like "Pete's Piano Rag" (presumably not composed by Williams?). Is this on the album under a different name? No source music included. If it's what Pete plays in the film it's music by Cy Coben. Mike M.

Yes. Only 8-9 minutes of the 20 recorded are heard in the film.

Or is it that the site is inept and by that I mean I have ordered many titles from Varese and yet they now have no record of my e-mail address. Really? Bravo.
