I hope this is a 2 CD release with some suites from other fine Jarre scores including Ryan's Daughter! I have just seen the art cover for the release on the Tadlow news, it is great. Cannot wait for the release!!!!!!!!!! It was probably the mosy enjoyable 3 days of sessions I have ever had....and I know my friend Maurice would have been delighted with the results! The same who for Prometheus Records re-recorded Goldsmith's HOUR OF THE GUN with the Prague Philharmonic conducted by Nic Raine? And do you go to the lengths in your re-recordings to do them as if you were doing sessions recordings as if it was for the actual soundtrack to the film? Anyway, I bought HOUR OF THE GUN, an excellent re-recording. Usually, when I hear "re-recording" of a film score, I think concert hall performance and they usually leave me cold, but not HOUR OF THE GUN's, perhaps my favorite Goldsmith score behind PLANET OF THE APES and THE SAND PEBBLES.    Posted:   Feb 14, 2016 - 12:28 AM     By:   Yavar Moradi   (Member) Yes it's James, and I agree about Hour of the Gun (and the suite from The Red Pony, conducted by James himself, is incredible!) The new recordings emulate the sound of their original counterparts and even exceed them. Much more than the 40 minutes or so of the original album. How long is the 'complete' score, please? Forget my question. Just read above, 86 minutes in film order. FANTASTIC! (I'm presently reading the book. It's a tremendous read.
