James,

We are all looking forward to the Blue Max release next week however is there a possibility of more videos being released on this forthcoming release and a possible release date?

I hope this is a 2 CD release with some suites from other fine Jarre scores including Ryan's Daughter!

I have just seen the art cover for the release on the Tadlow news, it is great. Cannot wait for the release!!!!!!!!!!

It was probably the mosy enjoyable 3 days of sessions I have ever had....and I know my friend Maurice would have been delighted with the results! He is so sadly missed in these days of nondescript and characterless scoring......

Please excuse my ignorance, but is Tadlow James Fitzpatrick? The same who for Prometheus Records re-recorded Goldsmith's HOUR OF THE GUN with the Prague Philharmonic conducted by Nic Raine? And do you go to the lengths in your re-recordings to do them as if you were doing sessions recordings as if it was for the actual soundtrack to the film?

Anyway, I bought HOUR OF THE GUN, an excellent re-recording. Usually, when I hear "re-recording" of a film score, I think concert hall performance and they usually leave me cold, but not HOUR OF THE GUN's, perhaps my favorite Goldsmith score behind PLANET OF THE APES and THE SAND PEBBLES.

Yes it's James, and I agree about Hour of the Gun (and the suite from The Red Pony, conducted by James himself, is incredible!)

That said, if you liked Hour of the Gun, you MUST get The Salamander and especially QBVII, Goldsmith's magnum opus in complete form at last!

Yes, I have THE SALAMANDER. QBVII, I wasn't even aware it's been re-recorded, thanks.

The Tadlow/ Prometheus rerecording albums are far from typical concert hall recordings. The new recordings emulate the sound of their original counterparts and even exceed them. The sound quality, performance for QBVII, OBSESSION, LAWRENCE OF ARABIA, VILLA RIDES are just incredibly too good! :-) Cant wait for this Jarre and Goldsmith THE BLUE MAX! :-)

This artwork is only temporary as I like to have something at the recording sessions to inspire me ... in this case the final cover might well be similar but with some tweaks ....

We just re-watched the film last week. There was a LOT of music. Much more than the 40 minutes or so of the original album. How long is the 'complete' score, please?

Forget my question. Just read above, 86 minutes in film order. FANTASTIC! (I'm presently reading the book. It's a tremendous read. Nice to have a soundtrack that tells the story!)

James, while we've got you here from your busy schedule, have dates been set for your recording of DUEL IN THE SUN? DUEL IN THE SUN is my most anticipated recording of 2016. It's been a long wait.

Nondescript and characterless scoring...............now that quote is an understatement of the highest order.......... today's film music is at it's very lowest level since film music scoring was introduced............
