Holy crap; 10 discs?! What did we do to deserve this? The TOS box set must be selling pretty nicely for LLL for them to have taken another chance on such a large complete set of classic sci-fi series music. What an amazing year this is going to be for Lost in Space... remastered HD releases, and now a full set of the series' music.

It's a cult TV show that spoke to a lot of people. It also is looked down on by a lot as well, but overall, it is a well liked (even loved) whimsical sci-fi series that had likeable actors, two very original characters, great model work and fantastic scores. John Williams' music is the most famous (and most tracked) music throughout the three seasons and it is mostly excellent. The other composers came up with music that ranged from outstanding to grating, but it all had character. I've loved the show since I was a kid (although I disliked the most incredibly silly episodes) and I am a fan of most of the music. Did LiS inspire people to be doctors, scientists and astronauts? Did it further the cause of civil rights or make political statements? Eh, not much if at all. But it was a charming series that has a devoted fanbase. But, like anything else, is all a matter of taste.
