So excited!!!

I will reserve that for once the title is announced. But still nice to see another batch announced, be it one club and limited editions.

People and their cynicism 'round these parts. Can't anyone be glad an announcement is coming without the parade rains sweeping in. Eeyore!

Yeah, cynical sods. A Club, a Club is coming!! The second one this year, oh what can it be, I'm so excited. Come on Intrada, up your game, you've got some heavy competition here. I'll be very disappointed if this thread doesn't have 300 posts by the weekend. A Club!

Would love to have the unreleased second half of the Klingon attack music from Into Darkness. Kick ass.

'A' special release from the Varèse CD Club, along with some new releases in our Limited Edition series will be announced Monday, July 28.-Robert Townson via facebook.

The A is in quotes, so I think it will be an expanded release of John Barry's score to "The Scarlet Letter."

How much unreleased music is there from Star Trek Into Darkness? I prefer not to watch the movie again, so I don't really have any idea.

75

Predator 2 - complete

I really hope for Predator 2 Deluxe as well... But if that was the case, one sad thing would happen on this forum:

No more requests by The Mutant for "Predator 2 - Complete"

I hope you have another score on your wish list, just in case smile

Yes, I'm sure Barry recorded more versions of the Love Themewink

How about finally 'Jagged Edge'!

Ghostbusters is my guess.

Not really a guess, but a wish for Herrmann's complete OBSESSION.

I would love a Herrmann at Universal box set, but PSYCHO probably isn't possible.

How about a Max Steiner at Warner Brothers set? I would love that too, but sadly HELEN OF TROY and KING RICHARD AND THE CRUSADERS are among the missing.

I reckon Ghostbusters would be an Encore release and advertised as such; this is a Club release.

or "Happy Days"
Aaaaaaaaa!

But if it's from Barry, I'd much prefer "Midnight Cowboy."

A club title as in just one? Perhaps I've been spoiled and expect more than one a year, but gotta say I respect Varese's stoic choice to do what they want, their way. As to A Special release? Predator 2 would be special to me, but my taste is often different. A DE of Star Trek Into Darkness is another one I'd scratch my head as to why it would be special. (Outside of a great word for marketing).

Air Force One might be more respectfully concidered special given the long history behind it. One of the rare times where even Robert T said it needs to be expanded.

Either way, wish the hype didnt put Varese so high up years back as it would have avoided all the expectation/resentments that would forever follow.

If I remember correctly, the deluxe edition of Trek 2009 was billed as a special release. It was heavily requested by fans, released in a unique format and released all on its own. If it is the deluxe edition of Into Darkness (which I think is inevitably coming at some point), it might be similarly billed as being special.

Jagged Edge as an encore edition is a strong possibility (at last !)

Regarding the Scarlet Letter, the original album is 70 mn long, one of the longest John Barry score on CD. IMHO it won't be an expanded Scarlet Letter.

Varese clues rarely mean something and in the present case if the "A" means something it could be the "A" of USS Enterprise (NCC-1701-A)

Uhmmm... guys. The quotes have been put there by Amer Zahid, the original poster in this thread. In his Facebook-post, Robert Twonsend did't use quote-marks, just the article.

I believe the entire score runs a little over 76 min from the film.

Here is a link of one of our previous discussions regarding Pred 2.
