Is there much missing music from Angela's Ashes? I recall hearing a short solo guitar rendition of the main theme that isn't on the CD.
Empire of the Sun: Again, I'm not familiar with what's missing from the CD, but any new arrangemnets of that heavenly theme (Cadillac of the Skies/Toy Planes ..) would be greatly appreciated and forever enjoyed^

Re Always, there is more music on the CD than was used in the film.
There was an alternate Follow Me cue though, so maybe there's a bunch of unused/alternate stuff waiting to see the light.
The original album plays perfect for me though, one of Williams' most underrated scores.

The Eiger Sanction

That is expansion in the sense of adding the film tracks to the excellent album recording.

yes, the real deal, please.

Not to beat a dead horse, but by definition an expansion contains previously unreleased material. Since you desire unreleased music, expansions would fall under that criteria.

Not really. What I require is a good representation of each title on Williams' resume, not all of the music from all films he ever did. So titles that are unreleased have no representation at all.

In all likelihood, a previously unreleased title would get the C&C treatment straight off the bat -- which is unfortunate, but certainly much better than no representation at all.

I can bring everyone back to life cue. Empire of the Sun.

I have the expanded A.I. it is perfect sounding..And whomever did it..did an excellent job.

Drucula would be cool to hear in quaility form.

The River needs to be expanded

Find the allegedly missing tapes for them and they will surely get right on that expansion.

Not many. Williams' scores tend to be nicely presented on CD and album. I guess the one that comes closest is SW Ep3. To have the complete opening space battle scene and Windu's fight with Palpatine alone would be worth it.

I was thinking the same thing. I love both of those cues, and have no idea why they were left off the album in favor of other, less interesting (IMO anyway) tracks....

I'd also vote for the other two prequels, DRACULA, WITCHES OF EASTWICK, THE COWBOYS, THE REIVERS and JAWS 2 as well.

Ditto to this.

And Dracula is a score that IS worth re-recording.

what's missing in JAWS 2??

The River needs to be expanded

The MCA CD has a few cues not in the movie. Cant remember how much is missing either.

I haven't seen the movie for years, but I remember when I saw it (after having listened to the album quite a bit) that the album was quite often an expansion of the music in the movie. Several cues that are developed on the album are only snippets in the film. Are those asking for an expansion wanting specific cues, or just assuming there's treasure to be mined?

Can someone tell me why Sugarland Express has not appeared on CD? I believe that's a Williams' score.

Supposedly it's John Williams himself who doesn't want it released. Strictly speaking, he may not have the legal right to prevent a release, but I doubt any label wants to piss off one of the most successful film composers of all time by ignoring his wishes.
