I could be wrong -- and frequently am -- but I understand that Mr. Mockridge was very helpful to Mr. Newman during the preparations for HOW GREEN WAS MY VALLEY, perhaps even providing the composer with that lovely Irish folk tune. And I believe the GIFT OF LOVE LP gave a shared composition credit to both men.

Thank you so much, Doug and John, for bringing my ancient treatise back into the limelight.

Somehow, that adds to the overall magic of this Kritzerland occasion.

The irish folk tune that newman uses for the love theme, he used a few years earlier in the film Dark Angel (Goldwyn)

Bruce, before we throw questions at you regarding your next release, let me ask you if there are any Miklos Rozsa scores in the Kritzerland pipeline at the present time ? If I could be described as a completest it would be for this man.

Yes,and one of the first questions I will ask will be: Do the scores stay in one decade or do they cover both the 40's and the 50's.

Totally off topic:

Bruce: Do you know that Skip Kennon's TIME AND AGAIN is getting a concert version in New York in May? At 54 Below. (I hear their concerts are very "reduced," with minimal accompaniment, in a cabaret setting.

But it indicates the show has a lot of "buzz."

Would you ever consider doing a concept album?

(There are 3 unrecorded shows for which I would encourage concept albums: CARRIE, ZHIVAGO, and TIME AND AGAIN.)

NOW let's continue with the guesses for your next release!

Anything from UNINVITED, CONQUEROR, or FRENCHMAN'S CREEK?

I do know about the concert. It's a one-nighter - they don't own the underlying rights and so far doing a recording, which I have offered to do since the day I first saw the show at the Old Globe can't happen.

And yes, Victor is next - three scores on one CD.

Three scores - either three very short ones, or three scores where much has been lost from each one.

Bruce, is O. Henry shipping today?

Victor Young! smile

Cody asked: 1940s and 1950s?

I'll ask: File on Thelma Jordan? Forever Female? Something to Live For?
