Fantastic, fantastic, fantastic... I didn't see as much of the 90's Superman animated series as I did of BTAS, but I love the series themes and the orchestral scores by that great group of composers!

You are in for a treat. Superman isn't spoken of as much as Batman, but the music and show followed the same high quality you expected from Batman.

As wonderful it is to see Brave and the Bold -- which has a lot of great orchestral-jazzy type music --- it's a shame there's that The Mayhem of the Music Maester (outside of apparently a piano source it looks like) is there. I guess the digital release prevented that?

Woo Hoo! I was hoping for something like this to come up. Now I can finally order SReturns and a few others and combine the shipping. smile

I'll have to research BandB to see if I want to order that as well; I never watched that show.

It isn't just digital. A mere $7.88 right now.

I'm glad it doesn't retread material from Mayhem of the Music Meister! - means more room for new material smile

Also, even if it weren't previously released, it's possible that the issues and costs of releasing the album would get stickier dealing with Neil Patrick Harris and the voice actors.

I don't have any experience in these matters, but from what I hear that is typically it.

Couple questions MV:

1. I'm assuming the second last track on Disc 1 (Video End Credits) is the extended End Credits that appeared at the end of Last Son of Krypton?

2. The last track on Disc 1 notes there is SFX and it seems to be the only one listed that does. Was this because the non-SFX tracks could not be found/used?

Will definitely pick up the Superman: TAS set at some point...a lot of excellent music in that series. Never watched Brave & The Bold...is the music the same all-synth drek that all of the DC cartoons have had post-Justice League?

I can't speak for whether it applies to all of the music, and I certainly wouldn't call it dreck, but I do recall there being a synth component to the music.

The music for BBB is quite varied. It was a unique show that allowed the composers to do scores of all different natures. A small number of live players did work on the series. There is some fantastic action, comedy, western, musical and sci fi elements throughout with a cool retro 60's vibe. For this release we left it up to the fans to come up with the tracks they wanted for a soundtrack release...meaning throughout the course of the series (and beyond) the Dynamic Music Partners (DMP) would receive requests from their fans as to what they wanted to hear on a soundtrack should one ever come out. It really is a fun listen and certainly different from ANYTHING you have heard recently in the musical universe of comic books.

Not at all familiar with Superman: TAS, but if it's anywhere near the league of Batman: TAS then this will be a definite purchase.

I have enjoyed all the previous Batman releases so will probably be picking up Brave & Bold as well.

Add to that the new McCreary and 2014 is already beginning to get expensive.

My god LLL you've made my year already. Cripes Superman:TAS AND Batman: The Brave & The Bold both on the same day! I really hope they sell well enough to get the further releases you mentioned.

The music from B:TBTB is a lot of fun & incredibly varied. I was very surprised that beyond Mayhem of the Music Meister! nothing had been released. I forgot to check the track listing to see if Aquaman's Rousing Song of Heroism was on the album smile

More Superman and Batman, nice! I'm looking forward to that great jazzy action highlight in A LITTLE PIECE OF HOME. The three-parters THE LAST SON OF KRYPTON and WORLD'S FINEST will be fantastic to hear as well, and I'm sure there's a lot of great music throughout the other episode choices, too. I remember a lot of people asking for IN BRIGHTEST DAY...

I don't know anything about The Brave and The Bold, but Michael McCuistion, Lolita Ritmanis and Kristopher Carter writing "action, comedy, western, musical and sci fi elements throughout with a cool retro 60's vibe" certainly sounds fun.

Also, good to hear there's a possibility of more Superman volumes in the future despite this set not being labeled Vol. 1. That's what I figured was the case.

The very first B:TAS release wasn't labeled "Volume 1" either.

I'm not interested since I never watched either show (well, a handful of scattered Superman episodes), but I'm glad they're out there for the fans. My money is being saved for Vol. 3 of Batman: The Animated Series.

I remember back in the late 90s when I stumbled on the Superman "Little Girl Lost" episode (hadn't been following the show), I thought - man, that's great music, I sure wish I could have that some day. Ah, well, never gonna happen.

And there it is - disc 4, cue 2: Journey Through Space.

I can't quite believe the world we live in today - but I love it!

And The Brave & The Bold is a complete hoot! - both will be worth every penny.
