The last comment that I saw, was from May, 2016:

JFK -- 2017 or later
POLICE ACADEMY 2 - 2017 or later

Like I stated we do have some more Goldsmith and Williams in the works for 2016. We'll see what happens

May 29, 2017 marks the 100th birthday of John F. Kennedy.

I know MV's quote said 2017 or later. But I thought there was an update since then. Were future scores pushed back to 2018, or 2019, or was it 2049??? I lost track.

Playing Police Academy now and loving it!

The Last comment I saw on PA2 was a comment from a few months ago when an FSM user asked:
MV:

FSM user:

I try, but am not always successful, to keep track of his comments here:

Well thanks for asking. I presume PA 1 didn't sell well, which we know is the case with comedy scores. It appeared PA 2 was put on the back burner and now I guess erased from the "to do" list.

I was hoping they would at least get to Police Academy 2, which is both a better film and a better score than the first one (just my opinion, and I know calling one PA film better than another isn't saying much!). smile

[sigh] Maybe one day.

There was a time when the specialty labels would strategically release a "low seller" between big sellers. Kind of a way to recoup their "loses". As music lovers themselves they just wanted some stuff out regardless of the profit margin. But times have changed and I think they focus on the "big sellers" just to stay alive.

Too bad -- I do enjoy those scores and looked forward to additional installments.

I would have loved - and bought - any subsequent releases of this series.
Which is the one with a lovely glowing Sharon Stone and a big balloon ride sequence near the end?
I remember some gorgeous, glorious music in that one.

Ah, that would be Police Academy 4: Citizens on Patrol... and agreed, some great music in that one.

Police Academy 6: City Under Siege also has some great music near the end for the cherry-picker/monster truck/city bus chase.
