Yeah, I was thinking that. I mean, 60-80 tracks is excessive, too, but these releases are already about excess, so why not go for it? Put those track titles on a toilet paper roll or something if they don't fit on the back cover.

The sequencing/overlapping of tracks is... odd on this then? That's unlike LLL. I'm guessing other hands at work... WB? Costner? Disappointing because, yep, it means holding onto the original (4 CDs of Wyatt Earp is silly). Still waiting for mine to arrive. This happens on most every one of their releases, actually. Maybe you're just getting the right/wrong ones.

Guys, I seriously wouldn't characterize this as a ton of overlapping cues... some cues are joined together on a single track, I assume to prevent there from being 120 tracks. Some ARE slightly overlapped, but I have to be honest... I barely noticed, and it certainly didn't affect my enjoyment of the overall release. But I guess if this is the kind of thing that bothers you, I'd defer to Shaun and others who pay much more attention to this issue. P.S. The only time overlapping has ever truly bothered me was on Intrada's YOUNG GUNS II. But that was pretty egregious. Man, Young Guns II was pretty horrible. It's just one of those things that bothers me because it makes no sense most of the time it's done. I'm sure if they stopped doing it, I'd find something else to complain about, but this is my main problem with most of the expanded sets coming out (not just from LLL).

....... It's all here. Original album was only an hour, and the score tops out at well over two. Much of the new stuff is thematic material that was on the first CD, but here it's much more developed... very much like a Wyatt Earp symphony. I was hoping this release would cause someone to trade in their "old" ost so i could buy it. This has indeed happened! Picked up a used copy for 2$ at Amoeba! I really like it and 60 minutes seems just right. But, i STILL have not seen the film. Maybe, after that I will desire a longer version of the score. (still, 3 discs???!!!) bruce
