I love Kamen's music but am not a completist. I didn't get any of the Die Hard issues and have this one on LP only. Plus since I purchased Red Pony and Enemy Mine, can't manage this also. If funds were there, maybe but well done those who buy it.
Good luck to everyone who wants it. Based on the phenomenal sales of the first Die Hard throughout the years, 3000 seems like a severe lowball for what the demand will be - and because Varese owns the rights in perpetuity, this is likely to be IT.
Amazing. Die Hard 2 is one of the first CDs that I bought when I started collecting. Finally get to have the cue when the plane takes off and explodes at the end. (among a ton of others)
And I was especially taken by this line in the product description:
We are on the cusp of beginning our 35th anniversary celebrations for 2013 but thought we’d get the party started early with this special release of a Kamen classic.
Makes you wonder what other titles are planned for this anniversary.
And while I have no insider info or anything, with LLL having done Die Hard and Varese doing Die Hard 2, wouldn't it be cool if Intrada surprised us with Die Hard with a Vengeance one day?

WOW ! I did not see this release coming, but I am so happy it is here. Die Hard 2 and License To Kill are my two favorite Kamen efforts. I had two copies of the original Varesse release of Die Hard 2 and just sold one last week. I am glad I did. Great release and looking forward to hearing it ! I will be surprised if 3000 copies last long.
I ordered a copy, but I did not see what kind of elements were used for this release ? Anyone have any idea ? I know the first release Varesse did of Die Hard had less than stellar sound quality. I am hoping this release sounds great ! I have been wanting this for a long time ! What kind of tapes were used for this ? Anyone know ?

No specifics, no, but the Deluxe Edition was produced by Nick Redman and Mike Matessino. I'm not worried.
