So, is the sound a big upgrade? How does Betrayal sound now? That was the west sounding cue on the cd (and my favorite)
I got my UK Esoteric Remastered CD today and I don't own the original and never heard it but I quickly listened to Track 1 and went to Track 12 Betrayal (Sorcerer theme) IMO it sounded fine it didn't sound muddy or anything like that. I'd say it would be a safe import from UK Amazon for sure.

I actually didn’t end up buying this until just recently. It arrived today and I’ve done a comparison to the old MCA album and this one is a pretty good upgrade. The beginning and ends of some of the tracks sound much clearer now. I’m hearing things that I never heard before in some of the face-outs at the end. And it also appears to be so clear that I can almost hear what sounds like a click track in some of the cues. I hadn’t noticed that on the MCA album. For instance you can hear it in the track “Creation”
The last track “Betrayal” doesn’t sound so muddy now. More detail and punch.

Definitely worth the upgrade. Good booklet too.
I never ended up ordering this either, until yesterday . I'd picked up the Blu Ray last weekend using some trade in credit at a used book/CD/movie store, and got me thinking about upgrading the old MCA disc. But the TD re-recording / " cinematographic" / expanded 2 CD still gets lots of play
