1660,
Please keep your negative, arrogrant comments to yourself. Noone, least of all Douglass Fake, owes you any explanation for anything.

At last! All these years of hoping for this score to come out has finally come to an end. I must the sound is nothing less than breathtaking, and having the complete score makes it all the better. As if receiving my copies of The Robe and Hook were enough for one day. A many thanks to you Roger & co.

And though the sound is a bit 'distant', it's still way beyond the old footwarmer, which was all hissy and painful to listen to.

Again, it's a shame they couldn't put the rerecording in there, and I doubt this release will make prices for it go down...

It may be because you have developed a disorder of the mind.

Are free insults allowed in this place?

Insult? I'm giving you my diagnosis. Only a crazy person would dislike this release.

Again: who are you, the king of FSM? Positive or negative, my comments are not your business, baby.

Watch the rerecording drop in price now. I'm going to guess it will be about $80 by next week.

Even less, I'll bet.

FYI everyone - if you hunger for the Utah recording, it's available on iTunes for an exorbitant $8.91 -

I got that a few years ago on itunes but hadn't realized till today that it was a rerecording. I'm looking forward to hearing the original.

At last this brilliant score will get the recognition it deserves, and people who aren't familiar with it will hear why it has been sought so eagerly. Top class Bernstein!

Very well, then be nice and reserve you fucking "diagnosis" for your parents.

Yes, but it only has a playtime of 86 minutes and includes a few alternates.

So there are “only” 10 min. of missing music? Well, I’m not so happy.

Boo-hoo

I, along with (just about) everyone else, couldn't be more happy to finally get this marvelous score on CD and at an affordable price. Beautiful cover as well. Bravo Intrada!

I, for one, hate the artwork. But it's a great score and I'm looking forward to hearing it. Thanks, Intrada.

Time to retire that Varese album.

I am not retiring the Varese album, it is too good not to have both! But, their choice in art work for the CD is terrible!!
With Intrada working directly with Disney, why were they not able to use the above poster art work?

Ordered. I can now stop reliving the half dozen times I almost bought the Varese rerecording back in the 1980s. I also grabbed The Wrong Box and the Holdridge release from a few weeks ago.

I think Intrada has to defer to Disney when it comes to artwork (as well as everything else) otherwise I think Intrada would have chosen something a little more exciting.
