Though I have no first-hand information, someone on this board (I think Erik Woods?) confirmed two weeks ago that Kamen's "original" score was recorded before he was asked to "re-spot" large portions of it.    Posted:   May 5, 2014 - 3:17 PM     By:   amatalqa   (Member) The score mix in the film is surprisingly low by the way. I just watched it recently and was surprised how far in the back it was. Even in the opening scene. If it were my film, the music would be in the foreground. I would love to hear the fabled original score he wrote, if only to find out if the rumours about it are really true. I can confirm that. I saw a blurb online that back when the score was recording, they did an interview with Kamen. Surely there might be some answers there. I don't think it was the producers (Richard Donner being who he is) but director Bryan Singer (who is known for being a bit of a hothead when he isn't getting his way.) This said - Thank you from the very ends of my heart, MV. Kamen's X-Men is something I've always wanted and I hope hope hope that it has some of the unused alternates, especially since the rumor is it was much more "motif" heavy than the finished product.    Posted:   May 6, 2014 - 11:15 AM     By:   Randy Watson   (Member) Good news. K-Men's X-men would be nice though.
