Should have included White Dog and Cujo also wink

Just want to add that this looks like a great boxset for golden age fans, I can imagine this has big nostalgia value. I've probably only seen one or two shows of the tv series of Lassie, I was never a big fan of those animal themed shows (Flipper, Rin Tin Tin, Alf).

I remain flabbergasted by the incredible treasures that spring forth from FSM and Lukas Kendall.

Thanks to all!

I appreciate the photo of the producers, but could we get a shot of a collie? smile I'll post one of my sister's collie if need be. My sister and I had a long chat with June Lockhart a few years ago about her experience on Lassie.

Since they're German Shepherds, you'd think they want a C.D. of scores from Rin Tin Tin films!

Sure hope this is still available next Thursday when I get paid again. As the "uncle" to both a collie and a dalmation this is a must buy.

Not to mention Skippy.

I loved these as a kid, but hate them now. Strange how people evolve.

P.S. ALF was an alien, not an animal per se. I loved that show. Lots of nostalgia.

Cool... glad to see Bernstein there... smile
Can't wait to hear it.

This and the Intrada Great Escape - It's payback year for Bernstein!

And I couldn't be happier! Maybe The Ten Commandments will peek it's head out somewhere too!

I think he'd take that as an insultwink

I've been calling for this set for years and Lukas had mentioned on the board in the past that many of the music elements had been lost, which is always a sad state of affairs.

I knew you'd be happy about this. Ordered it along with "Sadismo" - what a packagewink

It's great to see that 1930s and 1940s MGM titles are now being made available (particularly, Stothart!). Now, if we only could have some of the songs still extant...

Yes, that was a joke (like the odd one in the lineup) as animals don't speak and come from outer space wink Alf rules!

and Lassie!

they have some of the FSM sets released separately on itunes so maybe, I remember when I was younger on the way home from a trip to my Grandmas , my Dad would tune in Lassie tv show on the radio , all you heard was bark bark bark , and the occasional LASSIE!! arf arf arf , I pass too.. 5 cds... 60 bucks of Lassie music and no money.

Ouch! I'm gonna have to pass as well. I'll wait for the inevitable re-issue of the Bernstein score on Kritzerland.

Now that there is no doubt that the music exist we can always hope , the Bernstein clips sound good.

Though my collie, Kane, cannot see colors clearly, his ears will be finely attuned to this new release.

Must pass on this, too. I can't justify spending the nearly $70, including shipping, for the Bernstein score. While the remainder of the music is nice despite the sound effects, the majority is essentially a one-time listen and onto the shelf... or box in my case.

Attention shoppers:

The owner of a black Honda mini-van, license number 2275648, has announced that he will not be purchasing a box of Strawberry-flavored Mini-Wheats cereal today. Again, he will not be purchasing a box of Strawberry-flavored Mini-Wheats cereal today. Thank you for listening, and we hope you are enjoying a satisfactory shopping experience at Wal-Mart.

Interesting set, but at an enormous price. Dialogue and sound effects will likely keep this on the shelf. I'm going to pass this time 'round.

Despite the vagaries of the source materials, I notice that most of the tracks have a pleasing stereo-like spread. Some, however, particularly disc 3 ("Courage of Lassie") are in quite restricted mono, by comparison.
