Only 1200 copies of Haunted Summer? Eek - I sense an instant sellout!

Yikes no kidding! It would have been an instant sellout as a straight reissue...but expanded!?!? Can't wait!!!

Really? I may pick this up right when it comes out then.

It's a perfect Hallowe'en kinda score (too bad it may not arrive in time for some) - I brought the Silva release to a Hallowe'en dinner party many years ago and some of the tracks creeped the poop out of people. Much of it is hauntingly beautiful though and I think one of Young's greatest scores.

Art Direction by Jim Titus (of SAE and Tribute Film Classics Fame)

Excellent choice! His SAE and Tribute designs are some of the best of the best!

I've never even heard of Haunted Summer before. Someone throw me a bone - tell me what the score is like?

It's like a less melancholy cousin to FLOWERS IN THE ATTIC, with much greater emphasis on synth elements. It's quite beautiful.

Here are three audio clips taken form the original SILVA SCREEN release, not the new and remastered LA LA LAND RECORDS release.

As far as I'm concerned (and my opinion is HIGHLY BIASED) , it's one of his best (and pardon the pun) Haunting scores.

I just saw the Amazon copy and listened to the samples. I agree, at 1200 units this thing may fly! And thank you Mr. Thaxton for your work on this album. I'll be buying myself a copy come Tuesday!

Thank you for the sound clips, Mr. Thaxton.

Hopefully I'll be able to pick up both of these come Tuesday. Haunted Summer sounds like a lush, soothing score.

Damn, why'd I have to go and listen to the samples. This is surprisingly good. I don't usually like Young's work, only a small handful. May have to pick this one up; and October continues to be a very expensive month hobby wise.

Are you a Blu-ray enthusiast? Because this month alone has enough major titles to completely clean one's wallet out, especially on top of album purchases.
