I tried putting in an order for shipping to Australia, as well as the same order for shipping within the US - and it ended up cheaper shipping to Australia without sales tax.

More like turn you into an anorexic as you won't be able to afford to eat after paying $500 for this.

$500.00.

Guess maybe, folks wouldn't have gotten so excited over the prospect of the box if they'd known...

Yikes.

Really would like to buy this. Really can not afford it. Almost as bad in it's excessiveness as the Spartacus box... perhaps worse just because of the price. What a huge letdown. I'll have to make due with all the original albums, which I already have. In fact, I just purchased the expanded Batman and haven't even listened to it yet.

Maybe I can console myself by focusing on the set's negatives... The CDs look like they come in envelope style packaging -- the absolute worst way to package a CD.

Didn't Intrada say they couldn't find those family dog tracks??

La-La Land's Batman is longer? Must be since their release is 2 discs while the Batman in this set is only one disc.

Hopefully there will be separate releases of all the individual expanded scores. I'm willing to repurchase them. But $500? No, I can't justify spending $31 a disc even if I could afford it.

Somewhere in the ballpark of AUD$575 give or take, depending on the exchange rate. Too rich for me...

The two started (new) tracks are to the TV series, not the Amazing Stories episode. The two non-starred ones were on Music for a Darkened Theater 2.

I would also love to have this, but the price is just too steep for me. This is a die hard Danny fan with money release.

Wow, I think I understand how many North fans feel about the Spartacus box now! Danny Elfman is one of my favorite composers and among the albums here, there are some that I would dearly love to have expanded copies of: Big Fish, Alice in Wonderland, Edward Scissorhands and Corpse Bride. I'd probably even spend the $30 some-odd dollars per disk that each of these amount to on a price-per-disk basis. But, I just don't think I can justify the $500 price tag. I'd happily spend $150, maybe even $200 for expanded versions of all the 13 scores (if that's the only way to get at the expansions of the scores that are really dear to me). But wow, I mean, we've just got expansions of Batman, Mars Attacks and soon, Batman Returns. Given this trend, I wouldn't be surprised to see other expanded Elfmans coming out in the future.

Here's an idea for some board members.. would anyone be willing to split a box set up? I know that might be unpalatable to some, but it's an idea. As I said before, I'd be willing to pay for the scores that I really want on a per-disk basis. (Hell, I'd even pay for a separate skeleton key if someone buying a box set wants to part with theirs. Maybe amongst the board a few interested members could split a box amongst themselves if some are only interested in particular scores. Drop me a line at caavis@gmail.com if you're at all interested in this concept.

There really should be some sort of "installment" payment plan for something this pricey. Like, say, $100 a month for five months. I could swing $25 a week to get this, but not all at once.

I have to say that I too am disappointed. This is way too expensive for me. I would have bought it in a heartbeat if it was $200 or below. But not $500. Good God.
