I love Jerry Goldsmith's music. But I hate Total Recall, Rambo III and The Challenge. Sorry, I do. These are not my kind of Goldsmith. (Patton, Papillon, Islands In The Stream, on the other hand ...) I love Jerry Goldsmith's music. But I hate his synthesizer scores and I'm not even a big fan of most of his comedies and westerns. Strange, but true. I love Jerry Goldsmith's music. But I love John Barry's and Bernard Herrmann's even more. Sorry. I love Jerry Goldsmith's music. But I hate the sycophantical adulation he sometimes attracts. ("Jerry, Jerry, we love you!" Blech!) I love Jerry Goldsmith's music. But I do wish people would stop bleating about the bleedin' Oscar. Yes, he got robbed. We know. Get over it. So what do I get? Burning at the stake? Quartering? Or mere beheading? Cheers

I love LADYHAWKE by John Powell & Alan Parsons Project- I consider this one of the best unique scores of the 80's! I like it too - although if Andrew Powell was reading this forum I doubt he'd like you crediting the music to John Powell

While I respect the music of Leonard Rosenman, I usually don't like it very much. The reason why I don't listen to more recent Horner scores is not because of his constant re-using of material — which, frankly, all of my favorite composers have done at some point or another — but rather because I find his later output to be somewhat bland. Given the choice between Elvis and the Beatles, I would take Led Zeppelin.

While I respect the music of Leonard Rosenman, I usually don't like it very much. That's kind of how I feel about Alex North. Apart from 2001, he leaves me cold. But I always feel that I should somehow like it more. Like it's my fault that I'm not responding to it.

-The golden age composers bore me to hell -even if Horner recycles his own work or use evident classical references I still find him one of the best filmmusic composer ever -I don't understand the praise for Elmer Bernstein -Hans zimmer rocks my world and " The Battle" from Gladiator is one of the best pieces of action of the last 20 years -Avatar is the best experience of my moviegoer life since the lord of the rings trilogy -I hate white wine -limited editions of 1 or 100000000 copies suck even with the famous contract obligations -according with previous line : people buying multiple copies of a limited edition to sell it on ebay or other litteraly disgust me

Alfred Hitchcock really didn't direct FAMILY PLOT. He was too ill at the time. But Univesal demanded one more Hitchcock picture. Wait....has no one else noticed this one? What?

I think James Newton Howard's score to the new King Kong is better than Max Steiner's score to the original King Kong. Then again, I prefer the newer film (not to malign the important place the original holds in the history of film and special effects and even storytelling). I just enjoy the new one more (film and score). More exciting, more lyrical, more tragic, more character depth (a fine line, perhaps, for the genre).
