The last track "Abduction and the Final Battle at the Gallows" is from different edit cues at different moments in the movie. And that's why I said I will hope to hear on cd the complete form of these different cues with no edits.
And sorry for my english!
And yes, the Kamen song (sung by Adams) is cool!

I love how they put Kamen's Prince of Thieves Theme on the Morgan Creek logo.

And also on all the new Disney logos.....

You don't mean on the logos, though, do you?

I know they're using it to score their advertising spots, but the Disney logo at the beginning of a feature is still always accompanied by a variation of "When You Wish Upon A Star," isn't it?

You're right. It's the advertising spots.

The Bryan Adams song is horrible, IMHO.

LOL WUT?

Nobody here has talked about the fact that the expanded DVD edition apparently had a score-only track. I believe it was just a repeat of the album content - but can anyone attest to it being an improvement sonically over the original CD??

And the Walt Disney Home Entertainment logo.

The DVD and blu-ray an option via the special features menu where you can listen to the music from the soundtrack album (minus the songs) in Dolby Digital 5.1 surround sound. However, you can't watch the movie with only the music.

I have it, it's a bonus feature on disc 2, a 5.1 remix of the soundtrack album, minus the Bryan Adams song, with still images onscreen in the style of the LOTR audio DVDs. It sounds great.

Ah, gotcha. Personally, I don't care about the film and what music went where etc. All I care about is how the album and the tracks hold up as an independent listening experience, and in that regard, the current album and the "edits" work very well for me.

I would love to see a Robin Hood Prince Of Thieves Complete Score released. Michael Kamen was very tallented, and his score for Robin Hood Prince Of Theives is a woderfull score, full of depth and emotion.

The available soundtrack is good, it has a good selection of themes from the movie, but its editing and 'alternative' tracks make it more of an album rather than a soundtrack score. As such Robin Hood is crying out for a 'as heard on the screen' complete release of the soundtrack.

Does anyone know who holds the rights and who would be most likely to be able to get a complete release out there?

more of an album rather than a soundtrack score.

I don't think this makes much sense. Are you suggesting there's a difference between album and soundtrack?

Hi, by Album i mean an edit just for the soundtrack/ cd, where-as I would say a score would be the music would be or as close to 'as heard on screen'. For example the Batman soundrack the Dark Night is more of an album of the music of the film as it dosnt follow the film and is arranged to be heard independently as a soundtrack.

Thats just my take tho. Im sure other will disagree.

Re-appraising this score. Really lovely and wonderful.

Any news about a complete and remastered edition on the horizon?

Isn't it wonderful how many rather mediocre scores of the 1980s and 1990s that one dismissed at the time seem like glorious beacons of light after 2000?

That might be true.

Nice score with some lovely themes, but a bit repetitive. I would still pick up an expanded edition if it came out.

This is the holy grail of expanded film scores for me. I want the expanded album so badly. Supposedly it was prepared at some point, but who knows why it never came out. Anyone?

This is at the very top of my list. I would order it the moment it went on sale.

There is a special place in hell for this movie as far as I am concerned. Not only was it about the worst Robin Hood movie ever, it was ridiculously popular while The Rocketeer, an awesome movie which came out the same summer, was all but ignored. That is a crime against humanity!!!!!

The score to RH-PoT, however was very good. I enjoy listening to it from time to time to this day. I would definitely snap up an extended version were it made available.
