It's been only a tad over a year since his rejected "Apocalypse Now" was released.

Judging from the liner notes from their recent re-release of Savanna Violenta, I think one will be Danielle Patucchi's Dolce E Selevaggo (1983). They mention it as the last part of the trilogy starting with Savina's Ultimate Grida Dalla Savanna (also re-released in a previous batch by Quartet). I'll check the notes again after work for the exact quote, but I remember the paragraph closing with something about the final film, Dolce E Selevaggo, by Daniele Patucchi, "has not received a CD release yet." I am often accused of reading too much into things, but that "yet"--- I think--- is a good clue for the next Italian soundtrack release in their catalogue. Also, I am basing it on fact they released the first two previously and that the liner notes mention the continuation of their efforts to unearth cues for both the Savina and the De Angelis brothers' scores. It would make sense to finish the newly expanded editions with a premiere soundtrack release. I realize I am in minority on this board, but it would be great to see more of Patucchi's work on CD, especially Wild Beasts and Dimensione Violenza. Regardless of whether this happens, I sure the next batch will be solid. Happy holidays!
