The one clip of the score I've heard (from a movie scene) sounds very promising. Buried in the mix, of course but I bet it'll be a blast on the album.

Is any aspect of this film going to justify its existence?

Just bought tickets for cheap night next Tuesday, a whopping $6.75 Canadian.

I'm going for Ludwig.

I know quite a few people who are VERY excited for this movie. Either fans of venom or of Tom Hardy or both.

You know some wretchedly dull people.

I’m looking forward to it. I’ll give it a shot. Tom Hardy usually delivers.

Gosh, I guess there are a lot of wretchedly dull people out there, including me.

I can't remember the last post I read by Lehah that DIDN'T include some pithy putdown or mocking indignation against the world, worn like some superiority blanket, over his sullen, miserable self.
Such negativity can't be good for ones soul.

Sympathy for all involved as I'm sure everyone worked very hard but good lord...
If this doesn't kill Sony's ongoing failure in all things non-Marvel Spidey I don't know what will.

What I have heard from the score is impressive! It's mostly orchestral, with a bit of otherworldly synth appropriately thrown in. And there's some seriously wicked brass, ala Chris Young big grin

most of the score is buried under annoying noices.battle on the lauch pad is the best track and even that has synth-farts all over the place.I HATE THAT!!!

Yeah, it might be the biggest letdown of the year. Every so often, you can hear Goransson's voice but more often than not, it's squashed by relentless synths and sound design. I hope you like that Inception horn!

If his not as good as Black Panther (impossible), is just okay, i have more entertaiment with this than Death Wish

Agree 100%. I'm not even sure that it's the Inception horn that I've heard, more like its distant synthetically mutilated cousin.

Probably the worst score Göransson has written thus far in his career. The score mostly features the worst elements of the MV/RC sound that I've heard in a long time. It's worse than BvS, which is saying something and overall one of the weakest superhero scores I've ever heard.

Sadly I agree with this assessment. This thing's totally unlistenable from beginning to end. What a waste.

I'm beginning to think that CREED might have just been a happy accident or fluke.

From what I've listened to so far the score was obviously temped with Skrillex in mind, which itself is kind of a pop evolution of Inception by way of Transformers (movie) sound effects. Or, think that D_Generation remix track by Junkie XL on the Zimmer Celebrate the Music Oscar's EP. This just sounds like somebody who doesn't know how to do that style of electronic dance music being tasked with doing that style of electronic dance music, but fused to orchestra. I stopped listening after a couple tracks, if anybody has a recommendation as to a track or tracks later in the score that redeems it please post, I'm not sure I want to revisit it even just to give it a full listen...

I'd bet a crisp $2 bill this was a movie made by committee from soup to nuts. I'd bet LG was simply following orders.
