That's 7 of us in all.

No wonder this sold out

Disgraceful. Should have been limited to 2 per person! Well done Kev!

I shouldn't complain too much, I got tickets to see Paul Simon and James Taylor earlier in the week so I'll look forward to that one!

I MIGHT sell my ticket down the road, if I get press accrediation instead (I've asked, but received no response thus far).

Most expensive concert ticket of my life, this!

They weren't bought as 7 together.
One of our crew was higher in the queue than the other and managed to get our 4 (him, his girlfriend, me and another).
The other 3 managed theirs separately. But yeah, some tickets were on sale at ebay for £600 while they still waited in the queue.
Those ticket skyper companies gobble most of them up and sell them for triple/quadruple later on.
It's so wrong, but nothing gets done about it.

Ticket touts already re-selling their ticket. They bought 78 tickets at least: https://www.viagogo.com/au/Theatre-Tickets/Classical/John-Williams-Tickets/E-2600703

I entered the queue at around number 1,600 at about 8.57am. Took around 35 minutes to get through.

Wasn't hopeful but to my amazement I managed to get two tickets.

It's disgraceful that ticket touts could grab so many. I saw on twitter that @viagogo have some they are selling at £100 more over the face value.

Did anyone who managed jot down the prices?

I’m just curious to see how shameless Viagogo and other similar tours are being.

I logged in at 9:02 and was 4,867th in the queue frown

Dya know what. I haven't even asked my mate how much it cost yet.
We are in the stalls, as we were for Giacchino and JNH, so I'm guessing it's gonna be between £60 to £80.

I paid about £87 for mine (Arena), which I think was the second highest price range. Highest was £95 for Grand Tier. I saw tickets for as low as about £40 (in crummy seats), and then there are also lavish packages for hundreds of pounds.

I entered the queue 45 minutes early and could secure my four tickets at 10:00 AM sharp for me and my three friends. I am so happy!

I got a ticket, in the stalls (section L), and at the end of a row too smile

When I logged in originally I was around 1200 in the queue, and it took about 25 mins to the point where I got through, had to log in again. I opted for whatever the best seat they could get me was, rather than trying to specify a seat.

Incredible news, so unexpected. Possibly one of John Williams' last concert in Europe.

Has he finally agreed to go to Vienna too, dates could match !

undoubtedly, this will be a fast sellout but will he conduct the full concert ? (hopefully).

Expect a recording (new score maybe ?) or new album with the LSO when in London in october.

When does the guest for Hollywood In Vienna normally get announced? March? I wouldn't be able to go, but it would at least likely be filmed (which the LSO concert probably won't be.)

Darn. I was way too late to get a ticket. However I still have fond memories of seeing him twice on back to back evenings in 1997 during his last UK concerts at the Barbican.

About 1500 of the 5200 seats at the Royal Albert Hall are owned by 'members' who's families donated to the original construction of the hall. These seats are passed down through families and the owners are able to use or resell these seats as they wish. I've bought such seats in the past (JNH was one occasion, which I got great box seats for £45 each !) and a lot of these seats are those sold on sites such as Viagogo , Get Me In etc. I got my Michael Giacchino tickets like this also. Obviously some of these owners are aware which tickets will be highly sought after.
So, its not just the touts that 'resell' these tickets.

I can only say that I'm so so sad, depsite three differents friends before their screens, no one has been able to find a seat this morning. I was for example 715 in the queue when it said sold out.

Call me dreamer: so much people wanting to assist that Mr Williams would agree to do a second concert.
Ok, I'm a dreamer.
