Yes it is. It somehow reminds me a bit of Moroder in reflective mode. Several of the other score tracks are more orchestral and suspense-based. I think Drømmeslottet is a slightly better score. Would love to see an interview with Gundersen about his film music.
Serenada Schizophrana by Danny Elfman (It was mentioned in another thread. That is what makes this forum so informative). It should arrive any moment now.
Arrived!! Yay! Already ripped to my iPod and now going to listen to this on y headphones.[Joy]
Freud (Varese) and Illustrated Man/FSM (Goldsmith) Lizard in a Woman's Skin (Morricone) Cape Fear (Herrmann, original soundtrack; I have and love the Bernstein).
Arrived:
Citizen Kane (Herrmann) the McNeely rerecording. I own and am a fan of the Chandos, so I'm interested in checking this out.
Finally got Richard Harvey's FANTASIA on KPM CD last night. Got to re-live the music of this trailer that I'd seen so many times on the VHS tapes of the Indy Series I'd gotten from McDonald's in 1991 in Sault Ste. Marie Michigan when I used to live near the border. Such a wonderful memory:
1.) WHO FRAMED ROGER RABBIT?...Nice but somehow I have the feeling ..and thats with most of the expanded releases ,that the regular LP / CD releases covered the best themes.Nevertheless great score 2.) NONE BUT THE BRAVE...Ok, but not a score I would purchase again. 3.) NATE AND HAYES..Nice theme ..thats it...bit too "simple" 4.) PLATOON / SALVADOR ..ordered it before I knew that Quartet releases the exp. So bummer.
All in all a bad purchase batch for me this time((
