Has no one mentioned Bear McCreary's The Walking Dead??? I might hate the songs played in that tv show, but I love what Bear did (and the show). I'm really curious as to your thoughts, as I've been itching to check that disc out.

The one I keep listening to over and over is Giacchino's Spider-Man: Homecoming. Just solid from beginning to end.

You won't be sorry. Just don't make the mistake of going into the listening experience having preconceived ideas and expectations about what you want to be on the release or what was left off, and just enjoy the awesome music that is awesome. I've moved past discussions of what seasons aren't well-represented or what themes or whatever and personally just learned to enjoy what I was lucky enough to finally see released! Well shoot that's enough for me! Thank you and Happy Holidays!

I feel like this past year was a great year for discovering new composers, the death of James Horner kind of dampened my spirits for a while, but it forced me to explore more...which, in the end, is always a good thing! The only film music-related item I have bought in 2017 is Hans Zimmer's Live In Prague DVD. So it has been a slow year indeed.

Wow. Reading through all of these posts reminds me of what a fantastic year we had. So many wonderful scores to choose from. Ben-Hur and Papillon were both amazing and really stay with you long after you've listened to them. I was so excited for The Walking Dead release but strangely haven't returned to it much. I'm sure E.T. and CEOT3K are wonderful but haven't got around to purchasing them yet. Stanley and Iris has been mentioned a few times. It's sitting on my shelf waiting for a listen so maybe I need to remedy that. I'll tell you though, once you listen to Papillon that memorable theme sticks in your head forever.
