My oh my, what a score! Jerry Goldsmith had more talent & imagination in one 2 minute cue than most of today's scores put together. This release is pure gold and Intrada deserves all the accolades & thanks for putting it together. THIS IS SPECIAL !!!

Okay. I ordered it. So where is it?

I want what I (just) paid for. I know my rights. I demand an explanation.

Been waiting 40 years for this bad boy. When something like this comes along, money is practically no object. Will get endless plays here. Thanks Intrada!

Wow. I know very little about this film or its music. Nonetheless, I am VERY impressed. I may not know much about the score but really, all that needs to be known is that it is Goldsmith.

Well done Intrada!

Really like what I'm hearing in the samples and will be picking this up. I really need to check this movie out as well, i've always dug that cool poster art.

I'm not a Goldsmith freak...he's ok most of the time. But I love this movie, so I had to have it. Ordered.

Listening to these samples, I am reminded of something SchiffyM wrote around here somewhere a while ago about modern scores. That movies don't need the same kind of musical support they used to because they are able to create the worlds they envision. So music is in a much more subsidiary role these days.

This score is the archetypal example of what he is talking about. For me, the movie is a failure and a mess, and I've always felt that the score is doing all of the work of trying to convince us that what we are seeing is actually worth watching. Which is why it will make such a dynamite album, and why I don't ever have to see the movie again. Whew!

It's Fox. They know where most things are. They digitized the 2-inch back-up of the 6-channel material made in 2003.

I'm not trying to be contrary, but so far I've read two comments from Intrada that don't align with that.

Part of the announcement:
"Under guidance of Producer Nick Redman and Fox team, search deep into vaults unearths complete multi-channel orchestral session masters"

Why would they have to search at all if FOX knows where it is and has handily backed up and ready?

And the same with a comment from Doug:
"It began as a pipe dream of Roger's who wondered if we could get Fox on board and then get Nick to dig deep into the vaults and find every roll ..."

Just curious.

Hey, back in the early 80's I had a friend in Dallas who was coming over for dinner and asked could he bring a friend and guess who came, Paul Winfield! We had dinner in my kitchen breakfast nook. I don't recall much talk about movies just politics??
