There were some things I was convinced I would never see, and this is one of them. Thanks LaLaLand!

Contractually they had to be released separately. Originally it was a two disc set, but due to artist deals beyond anyone's control each soundtrack had to be their own separate release...and this took several years to happen.

You're welcome. smile

No complaint here. I'm glad I don't have to buy BHC III. big grin

And yes, BHC's one of my "grail" wants!

Beverly Hills Cop 1 was the first soundtrack I ever purchased and I even bought it on CD.

I will be teaching class at 12pm PST when this goes on sale; I will have to excuse myself from class so as to place my order.

Thank you La La Land.

I've willed myself into the Future.
I'm not letting something as stupid as Time itself get in my way.

Its in the movie yes, when they first arrive at the Playboy mansion, playing in the background.

What's really a sad thing is that the main song of the movie "Hold On" by Keta Bill played at the Playboy mansion scene is still unreleased. They should have put that on this set. The only available version is a low quality mp3 given out by the actual artist a number of years back. I was hoping this track would be included since its an integral part of the soundtrack for Part 2.

The other version is by Corey Hart which is on the soundtrack release (and also in the movie, heard very faintly on the radio when all three main characters are sat in the car after leaving the mansion)

Thanks for the 411. I had a feeling this was the case.

Is the version of "Shakedown" the same as the original soundtrack or the one on the 7" vinyl that more closely resembles the film version?

It's probably the same version as the original soundtrack but I might be wrong about that.
Anyway, I believe the film version is an edited version of the 7" vinyl.

Ok thanks. I never noticed it before. I always thought "All Revved Up" would have made a good end credits song.

So, both versions of "Hold On" are the same song, just different artists? Weird.

You're probably right. Since LLL went to great lengths to get the version of "Jingle Bell Rock" that was in Lethal Weapon, I was hoping they'd be able to do the same with "Shakedown" for BHCII. Although I suspect that their hands were a bit more tied when doing these two sets. I already own both soundtrack albums so for me these are all about the Harold Faltermeyer music. I'm glad LLL was able to get that music released.

Amazon Marketplace or eBay, but with their price mark-ups you'll ending paying the same as you would for shipping from the US.
