An official announcement will be coming shortly in regards to La-La Land Records and Paramount Music making available digital downloads for the entire Paramount Music Library. It seems that our first batch made it online a few days earlier than anticipated.

Will this also work for streaming sevices like Spotify? It would be huge news for me! :-)
Btw guys, here's every other title a quick google search of 7digital.com for "la-la land records" turned up:
- The Ghost and the Darkness - Islands in the Stream - Sunset Boulevard - Kingsman: The Secret Service - Pomp & Circumstance (from Kingsman) - Green Lantern: The Animated Series - DC Showcase: Superman / Shazam! - Individual releases for each of the first 3 discs of Star Trek: The Original Series - Thundercats - Kick-Ass 2 - The Hole - Evil Dead - Day of the Dead - Broke Sky - Time's Up - Yesterday Was a Lie - John Dies at the End - Favor - Man on a Mission
Some of those have been available for some time (notably the Star Trek "discs"). Each of the ones I clicked on were $8.99 for 320 mp3, $10.99 for FLAC (including The Ghost and the Darkness!).
For me, this is an easy deal maker. I'd rather have digital than a CD a lot of the time and some of these are titles I actually skipped because of the price point (Black Sunday, Ghost and the Darkness). This is one very happy millennial!
Edit to add: I see Star Trek: The Original Series, Disc 3 only released this March. I'll definitely be watching for future releases!
And that it also probably means that La-La is able to release more obscure scores whose predicted sales wouldn't merit a cd-run is more that just a bonus.
Agreed! I prefer CD's but if it's digital or nothing. I'll take digital.

Titles are now also available on Google Play Music. Hope we get streaming services too.
Quick, someone post a list of all Paramount films that had scores that have been released before
I'm guessing stuff owned by labels in perpetuity (like Varese, Milan, etc.) is excluded from the deal but since those are already on iTunes it's not an issue.
Before some of you get your panties in a bunch about digital only releases, the kind of titles we are talking about is a title like BRAIN DONORS. Something that would sell a few hundred units on cd.

Ira Newborn is *always* welcome. Especially at 9 euros.
How is The Ghost and the Darkness on this list if Intrada put out the expanded album recently and the original album was on Disney-controlled Hollywood Records? Curious...
This is great news though. I hope that LLL may take a chance on digital releases for Golden Age Paramount scores they might not otherwise consider...

Personally I don't have a problem with digital and would love to see everything available in that format. Yes, I buy CD's of certain releases, but I'd buy a whole lot more if there was a digital option, without the cost of shipping, customs etc.
