Predator 2 was a trashy yet well made movie.

I am a golden and silver age fan and if there next release is neither it's OK by me. I look at it this way: If Varese won't release it, there are many other specialty labels who can.

After their fine release of Cobert's music for the Jack Palance version of Dracula, I hope for the same composer's score for Palance's Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, as one of their limited editions.

'A' special release from the Varèse CD Club, along with some new releases in our Limited Edition series will be announced Monday, July 28.-Robert Townson via facebook.

I wonder whether this will include a re-issue of 'Ghostbusters' as part of the 30th Anniversary.

I'm betting on this, since La La Land noted somewhere a reissue/remaster/etc of Ghostbusters 1 along with part 2 was going to happen....just not from LLL.

So excited!!!

I will reserve that for once the title is announced. But still nice to see another batch announced, be it one club and limited editions.

What is the difference (if any) between a Club release and a Limited Edition?

The limited editions are scores from current or recent non-box office films. Club is old school stuff.

People and their cynicism 'round these parts. Can't anyone be glad an announcement is coming without the parade rains sweeping in. Eeyore!

Well, intrada at least gives some clues... I can't be excited at an announcement of an announcement, I've seen plenty of batches come by with titles that didn't interest me. But if you are excited already, I am excited for you! wink

The complete Thriller (1960-1962) by Pete Rugolo, Jerry Goldsmith and Morton Stevens.
I can see a multi-set.

How much unreleased music is there from Star Trek Into Darkness? I prefer not to watch the movie again, so I don't really have any idea.

Like a shitload. The original album was only about 45 minutes and the whole film is pretty well covered with score.

Give me some old Goldsmith. Anything pre-1980's.

Or a HAWAII FIVE-0 box set.

John Scott's score for THE WHISTLE BLOWER would be a great release of an old Varese LP title.
