If the Irwin Kostel re-record of FANTASIA (1982) were to be included with the original Stokowski recordings, I'd get it.

This is good news! I will most likely pick up The Lion King and The Little Mermaid. I hope that Aladdin eventually gets said release, that's my number one Disney score I'd love to have in expanded form.

Long ago, I was on an internet chat and spoke with a fellow film score fan from India, he was working hard toward a degree, and was maybe seventeen. His only desire at the time was for a complete Lion King. This may not be exactly what he had in mind, but I imagine he will be extremely happy when he finds out.

I just noticed there's a Disneyland 60th Anniversary release. That might have some Davy Crockett/Frontierland stuff.

In particular, I note that there's no Mulan in that list... hmmm.

While a fine movie, does it really count as one of "Disney’s most cherished and classic properties that have been enchanting audiences for generations"? (For that matter, does Pocahontas?) Also, it won't even be 20 years old until 2018...

That is me. big grin I'm indeed so glad to read this! Though we don't know how complete it is, I'm delighted this score will finally be available to be heard in a deservedly expanded form with at least most of the highlights available. Major props to everyone at Disney who made this possible!

It would be really great if they could get excited about the vast legacy of original background scores for their countless features as well. I'd jump through any number of hoops for the complete 'Davy Crockett' scores. But then, I was born in the 50's.

Most excellent news. I hope this is only a beginning.

I sure hope we don't have to wait until 2018 to see an expanded Mulan.

But in the mean time, I will definitely be enjoying The Lion King. Wonderful surprise from Disney.

Great news, indeed. I hope they get around to "Hunchback of Notre Dame" and "Mulan." After all, they both nominated for an Oscar. I fully expect "Beauty and the Beast" and "Aladdin" to be included during their respective anniversaries as others pointed out.

THE LION KING - a rare instance where I actually think an expansion is tantalizing.

"Lady and the tramp", "Pinocchio"and "Cinderella" have fantastic scores.

And I hope the expansion of "Mulan" very soon

The 90 scores are in desperate need of expansions. While I welcome a rerelease of the earlier classics is there anything to expand on? I much rather they offer a rerecording of Pinocchio.

It happens now and then -- when the Moon is in the Seventh House and Jupiter aligns with Mars.
