Apologies, because I'm late to the game here and not sure I understand what has and hasn't been released on CD. Would there be a stand-alone PROJECT: COMSTOCK, aside from the remastered 2016 Blue Note CD that also featured Russ Garcia's FANTASTICA? That one sounds, well, "fantastica", and I could listen to it over and over again. https://www.freshsoundrecords.com/russell-garcia-frank-comstock-albums/6388-music-from-outer-space-fantastica-project-comstock-2-lps-on-1-cd.html?search_query=project+comstock&results=1 That twofer is mastered from vinyl. You want the real deal for both of these albums, which, IMO, are the two greatest outer space albums ever. Ah...gotcha. Thanks, guys.

This will not be coming out. There is simply not enough people who will pick this up to at least get us to break even. Our numbers are dwindling sadly as to who buys these anymore.

I'm grateful that you are not empowered to make these decisions. Guess again -- Peter runs Notefornote with Bryon. I'm sorry to hear the twofer with this album will not be coming out as I thought it was an intriguing pairing. Yavar

If they ever release something you want (like Music from Outer Space), I suspect you'll still buy it (why wouldn't you?) And if they don't (which does unfortunately seem more likely at this point), then things are also the same since you weren't going to buy anything anyway. I think they would have loved to release the album (they announced they were pursuing it -- why would they do that if they weren't serious about doing so?) After Gould's Holocaust tanked in sales they no doubt reconsidered doing older more obscure things worried they might take a similar loss. One might also factor in Warner Bros. being more difficult and expensive for licensing than they used to be, I dunno. But clearly Notefornote doesn't have anything *against* the album you love -- they wanted to release it; that much was clear. You're going to be angry at them for simply not being willing to risk losing money on it now? It's their money, costs have gone up, sales have gone down, and now we are in the middle of a pandemic and recession which has no doubt done huge harm to a lot of releases we otherwise would have gotten. Why hold a grudge against anyone at Notefornote when it's not like they had any bad intentions at all? I'm sure they are as disappointed as you are that the title no longer seems viable for them.
