This is a surefire payday gig for Elfman, akin to Brian Tyler's scoring of, well, everything. People will buy this album for the name alone, so Elfman's seeing green all the way with this. I wish I could shake Morricone's grave and cryptic posts about Elfman and Edgardo Simone. It's really bothering me, thinking about what it could be that so disturbed Henry.

For all of the 90's scores that are being needlessly expanded, this is one that actually deserves to be heard in full. Fantastic work, from a time when Elfman had fun even in the "in-between" cues.

This might be Elfman's Basic Instinct. Has he ever scored "sex" before? I imagine he might be quite good at it. He scores a bit of it in Red Dragon. I am pretty sure the track from the album is "Love on a Couch". Anyway, if you listen to the isolated score/commentary track from the DVD, Elfman talks about the challenges of scoring the intimate scene between Francis Dolarhyde and Reba McClane.

Just finished watching the Irish tv show THE FALL, with Jamie Dornan as a sexual serial killer. He just might make this film passable! brm
