I wish "The Bride" was the title being reissued instead of "Taps"

There's always one, isn't there?

Yep. There sure is. Deal with it.

Well... if you'd said you wish The Bride could be a future release, that might have been better received than saying it would have been preferable to the current release.
I'm sure Haineshiway will join us and let you know whether The Bride is a future possibility.

Why don't I send you my posts and you can correct them for me. But really just saying "I wish" doesn't really deserve being attacked. And I wouldn't re-word it if I had to do it over again.

Again, I wish The Bride was the reissue instead of Taps. Oops, I did it again.

I wish Mister Moses by John Barry was released instead of Taps.

Two Warren Beatty releases in a month. DAMN! What are the odds of my dream soundtrack, ISHTAR coming out soon?

How on Earth is it a good idea to pair "The Only Game in Town" with "The Towering Inferno" or "Mister Moses?" I mean, really, the ideal pairing with Jarre's "Only Game in Town" are the rejected Alex North and Johnny Mandel scores, which don't seem to exist (along with some of Jarre's final score). Either pairing a relatively short Jarre score with an unreleased Jarre or out of print Jarre seems like the next best idea. Which is exactly what happened.

Aside from the fact that "The Towering Inferno" is nearly 79 minutes and can't be paired with anything on one CD, "Mister Moses" tapes are nowhere to be found.

But why are we arguing over pairing; as long as it is two good scores on one CD, who cares?

Whose arguing?. Just having a little fun. I should have put a smilie. I'll be ordering Taps/The Only Game In Town with Breakfast at Tiffany's later tonight.

I don't know where else to ask, so I'll bring it up here disregarding that I might get scolded by some overly serious-minded members.

Is there still another release left in Kritzerland before the year ends? It would be good to get my greedy paws on Bernstein's dynamite score for The Comancheros that I saw mentioned a while back before the December holidays arrive.

I hope so ! Astronaut Jerry Lewis is still waiting for a nice fresh golden/early-silver age companion to fly with over France !

Depending on approvals, we have anywhere from three to five more releases in December. Definitely three.

Well, let the games begin!

Golden? Or Silver? Or of more recent vintage? (Meaning 80's or later...)

Of course Bernstein's "Commancheros" has long been sold out. Damn!
