I thought album rights for the Elm Street scores are with Varese. Well, the first one at least as I remember Charles Bernstein saying that he requested Varese to expand the first title a while ago but they turned it down.
Maybe MV can confirm the rights issue so people can not waste their time hoping for them from other labels in the future.
The Friday the 13th box set was limited to 1300 copies.
Would a Nightmare box really sell more than double that number of copies?
Considering that all the Nightmare movies had soundtrack releases on Varese (many of which now OOP) as well as a 'best of' compilation, I would consider 3000 a reasonable number. Don't forget the Friday the 13th box set sold out quickly and there was a follow up release of the score to the first Friday the 13th. There are also plenty of songs to license from the NOES movies, I do think 8 CDs would be a minimum for such a set and it would almost have to leave out Freddy VS Jason and of course the remake (which is a given). But a boxset would make more sense than individual releases for every Nightmare movie.

Varese reissued the first one in 2005, a missed opportunity to expand it back then. I'm sure any label would want to revisit this but the rights would have to be available. Not sure about what deal Varese has on it or the sequels, well "New Nightmare" and the remake are the only ones not released by Varese.
What about a boxset of the complete scores to this guys nightmares Part 1-7 and as the eight disc a best of from his TV serie???
yes I´m dreaming and do not want to wake up
My wife would probably hate me for wanting to spend that kind of money just before Christmas, but I would buy it without flinching if this were it!!!!!
LW and TFTC would get my sale as well, but I would most likely have to consider waiting until the first of the year to buy those.
1. Charles Bernstein (plus his theme reprised throughout) 2. Christopher Young 3. Angelo Badamenti, Ken Harrison 4. Craig Safan 5. Jay Ferguson 6. Brian May 7. J. Peter Robinson 8. The Extras
If LLL got everything from Varese & Milan & others... They will get my money.
Signed by Mr Bernstein would be icing on the Christmas Fruit Cake!

Disc 8 could also be "Freddy vs Jason" or the 2010 remake (which never really had a physical pressed CD release to my knowledge).
Man, now I'm really excited about a NOES box and it's doubtful (yet still not impossible) that this will be the Black Friday announcement.
Though even as a Nightmare on Elm Street fan, I never bought it because of the disappointment and dull direction it took, never been too big a fan of Jablonsky.

Yeah, I don't expect it will be else MV would have mentioned it being in the works, but I sure hope it's a possibility!
