I ordered Johannes Schmoelling's latest the same day (it shipped from Germany) and I got it today. This leads me to believe Varese is using an incredibly inefficient system to mail their products....but then...the Schmoelling cd DID come from Germany...so I expected efficiency. big grin

Maybe I should have had it shipped to Germany then forwarded here. Couldn't possibly take any longer.

Has anyone attempted to edit together a film version of the Fratelli Chase yet? I tried doing it myself over the weekend, but when when comparing the CD tracks with the film's score I realized there's a brief section that can't be replicated without possibly ripping from the DVD. It's the moment when the Fratelli's arrive at the beach just before entering the race. The tracked in cue ends on a different upbeat compared to any of the music on Varese's CD, and then there's about 9 seconds of tracked in music I can't identify which MAY be on the CD.

Here's how I break down the film version of the Fratelli Chase so far:

Film run times:
(0:01:13 - 0:04:07) - Full Varese CD Track 1 (~2:43 in length)
(0:04:07 - 0:04:29) - Similar to Varese CD Track 1: 0:56-1:16 but ends with an upbeat not on CD
(0:04:29 - 0:04:38) - Unidentified 9 seconds before the beach race starts - possibly from another CD track?
(0:04:38 - 0:04:48) - Varese CD Track 1: 1:52-2:02
(0:04:48 - 0:05:01) - Varese CD Track 1: 1:08-1:18
(0:05:01 - 0:05:04) - Varese CD Track 1: 1:31-1:34 with sudden fadeout at the end

Can anyone help identify those 9 seconds mentioned above? Or better yet, save me the trouble if you've already created a film edit of the Fratelli Chase and are willing to share?

Granted I love the CD version of this track, but I'm so used to how the film version plays out and it bugs me the way the CD version comes to a sudden stop after Data's theme. I'd love to have a film version instead for my IPod's version of this score. smile

Still waiting... USPS track and confirm is a joke. It's always "We were told to pick it up" "We picked it up" and "We delivered it" and that's it. Maybe tomorrow!

I got mine yesterday in New York. What a great thing to have waiting for me upon my return from Florida. My Dutch CD was there too! smile

Man, I blasted the music at the end when they see The Pirate ship....I cannot believe this is out. Thank you Varese!

Can't wait to get this one! Does anyone know if the Superman fanfare is included when Sloth rips open his shirt to reveal the "S"?

"Silly", I know- but, tell me- what is the difference between a "tuard" and a "turd" ?

Besides the "a" ?

I much prefer the ALTERNATE version of the "Fratili Chase" on the album because it's a structured cue. In the film, track one is perfect but on the album it's a little unsatisfying, and the way it ends is quite annoying, like it's missing the third act.

As always, Mike Matessino does a great job with the CD. smile

I ordered on the first day this was available and my shipping address is about 30 miles from VS. Haven't received anything yet and no shipping notice. Should I be worried?

Thanks!

Nah, If you read the other thread complaining about it not shipping, some mention that it is common for the time of day you ordered it on day of availability to make a difference. I ordered mine at 8pm on March 1st and got a shipping notice this afternoon. I also live quite close to varese. Guess I shouldn't be so indecisive next time.

Ah, ok that's cool. I ordered it around 3:30pm PST on the 2nd. I had actually forgotten about it and just wanted to make sure I didn't get left out. wink

Thanks!
