Two WONDERFUL folks sent me 2 tracks from the Goonies, one was the corrected film version of the Fratelli chase and the other was the Wishing Well cue that I always loved. I even made a CDR of those only 2 tracks, I hope that will get me through to Monday.... wahhh. I think what makes this so hard is I've waited, along with many of you, a quarter of a century so now being SO damn close it's so hard to wait. It's a fun wait, don't get me wrong. But don't get me wrong if someone wanted to mp3 or wav me track 19 Playing the Bones, I of course would have NO problem with it....!!...!!! filmscoremonthly@gmail.com If you bought the CD and are waiting for it to arrive, just look for it on the internet since it's already been made available. And there is nothing wrong with that because you own the actual CD. No need to punish yourself by waiting. Well I thought of that, but just having a few tracks til Monday, will just wet my appetite you know what I mean. I love the couple tracks I got and they will get me through to Monday. Good suggestion though and who knows by tomorrow night, I may have all 34 tracks on my computer! LOL

If you bought the CD and are waiting for it to arrive, just look for it on the internet since it's already been made available. And there is nothing wrong with that because you own the actual CD. No need to punish yourself by waiting. Just an FYI, I don't think that defense works in court. At least I think I read somewhere that it didn't for someone. I think the stance of Big Vinyl is that it's enabling the bl'ers and the advertisers on the sites, etc. And I suppose there's a question of where do you draw the line; should people who own the lp, cassette, 8 track, reel-to-reel, etc have rights to CD quality (or even lossy) files? BUT that's a topic for another post... Well a VERY VERY good friend sent me the Playing the Bones track and I'm listening to it now, LOVE IT!!! I bought the CD and just want a few tracks to wet my appetite. I'm not scaried of Bob Townson. If he starts anything, I'll just give him a big kiss on his cheek!!! Were talking about scores that have 1000 units or more, this one being 5000 units. Wonderful track, thanks fellow film score friend!!!

Wow, that was pretty darn bad. It would be funny to present that to him if I'd ever see him for him to sign. I wonder what he would say...???

Seems the Goonies message board on another Goonies site is a bit excited for this as well. http://www.thegoonies.org/BB/viewtopic.php?t=8145 It's funny to read the comments. Some thought it was just a boot. Then someone had to reassure him Varese is LEGIT. One posted a link to our thread. Funny funny stuff. Many of them bought 2 copies. It's funny the info we know and the info they know that we don't know about the score and Varese etc. This particular one is quite amusing... "I've listened to some of the sample mp3's and it seems that bits sound slightly different.... Its probably been recently recomposed with an orchestra and recorded. Some of the tracks have had different and subtle tweaks or additions... A bit of poetic license. "

Not that anyone is reading this long thread anymore, but I thought I would chime in on the if you younger than 35 you love it, over and you dislike it. My partner Brian and I were talking yesterday. I was filling him in on what folks were saying about the age of folks. He's 43 and he LOVES it. Thinks it's a great fun adventure film and when it came out he was not 12, he was 19 years old in college. So not everyone who's over 35 hates it.
