Wow, that Omen 40th looks SOOOO good. All I have is the Varese (which I happen to like a lot). Extreme Prejudice...whoa, Bruce you have a NICE store! Eewwps, one too many posts folks. I just get crazy looking up great music. Sorry everyone.

Are you in the right place? I don't think Bruce is selling Varese releases like Freud...certainly not on the Kritzerland website, which only has Kritzerland titles. Yavar

Soundtrackers is Gerry Kroll. He was selling Rio Conchos for more until I put up whatever emergency copies we had for many of our titles, then he does his usual thing of undercutting our list price by three cents. It's amusing on some level But you can always contact us via e-mail. Our Amazon seller name is whitesheik - that was an old seller name I had and it was just easier to keep that one.

Hi Bruce, just got around to writing! I was really loving the youtube clips of this piece today...no doubt the Kritzerland blows the sound away. I must say, Kritzerland's releases are among the top for me. If I had to name just one that is completely perfect in every way it would have to be David and Bathsheba...and Leave Her To Heaven...Beneath the 12 Mile Reef...and those are just the tip of the iceberg. I count myself especially lucky you folks are still bringing the CD goods. It's a ray of hope for fanatics like me

Hey Bruce.... Speaking OF BT12-MR... IS the sound on your release of the score any better than what was done for the Herrmann "Fox Box"? I have both, but I have not opened your release of it.

Oh man, would LOVE to hear input on this. According to Bruce himself in the release thread, "it's the same" as Mike Mattesino had already done all that could be done for the Varese master: http://www.filmscoremonthly.com/board/posts.cfm?threadID=108916&forumID=1&archive=0 For all the Varese Herrmann box Kritzerland reissues, you can just do a Google search of FSM for the original Kritzerland announcement thread, and they will tell you if the master was tweaked at all from the Varese. I feel bad I missed out on Twisted Nerve (I actually own that crazy movie lol!). But I still have Snows of Kilimanjaro and White Witch Doctor to look forward to.

Actually Twisted Nerve has since been re-released complete/expanded, from the original masters (Bruce's was from the EP master), and that version is still in print. Unfortunately, it's still rather expensive because you have to get an LP version along with it: https://store.stylotone.com/products/twisted-nerve-super-deluxe-edition-yellow I'm pretty sure Bruce's CD remains the only legal CD option for The Bride Wore Black, however. Complete score for that is apparently lost since when Twilight Time released the film their isolated score track was with sound effects. (Of course, along with Endless Night that makes it an ideal candidate for a new recording if anyone ever feels like tackling another Herrmann!) Yavar

Very nice, though I'm trying to remember how much original material Bernard wrote for that movie outside of the impossibly catchy, iconic whistle tune.

Well the Stylotone description says "over 75 minutes"...some of those may be alternates and such, but even so I'd say the original EP program was definitely only a fraction of the score. Yavar

To wander back to the topic of this thread, I just want to say the Rio Conchos is a fabulous score. Goldsmith aficionados should love it. I've definitely got it in my sights. To be honest, I liked what I heard more than Hour of the Gun. I sure changed over from a guy who didn't like Westerns lol! I still don't care for them too much as movies (though...I dunno if the Hateful 8 counts, I did like that one).
