By the way, liner notes for Trek was written by Jeff Bond! This is another great plus for this Deluxe edition.

Your number of the amount that are left may be accurate but Varese has also shipped to other retail outlets. So it is difficult to say how many have units have sold at their site.

The price has gone up at SAE too. They're now $22 for most of the single discs!

True. They're charging an extra $4 for the Abyss. There goes my ordering at SAE anymore for those titles. That's a pretty hefty price increase...

I think it's very sad that the advance spoiling of the Varese titles has deflated the traditional announcement "party" to the point where it just didn't happen. The chatroom was empty.

I find it interesting that the chatroom only seems to be set up to anticipate Varese Club announcements, yet it's never done to anticipate releases from any other label. If the whole point of the chatroom is to hype people up by guessing what titles are going to come out, why not set it up for other label announcements? Or use it to talk about the music people enjoy instead of having its existence grounded upon silly guessing games.

If the usefulness of said chatroom is compromised because the titles were revealed early, it says more about everyone else's attitudes towards the film music that they claim to enjoy discussing rather than those who discovered said leak. ("Wheehehe! I can't wait to get more music so we can talk about it! ...Oh wait, someone spoiled them, no sense talking about the music now!")

Ordered The Abyss and picked up a copy of Scream as well. Fewer than 75 remaining of that one, didn't want to miss out on that one like I did with The Matrix.

Star Trek: Nemesis will come some time next year, together with The Motion Picture and First Contact (no interest in Insurrection, hardly ever played the original release).

Anybody any experience with orders from Varese shipping to the Netherlands? What are the chances of having to pay import tax?

You are aware that VARESE doesn't give other dealers any break on these titles, they have to pay the same amount as everyone else does to order them?

The Mark up is more then reasonable.

Everybody's complaining that Varese needs to expand those titles they own in perpetuity. They start doing that, and people still complain! I wonder if people would bitch this much if another label would have released the exact same titles.

Uh The Abyss and Star Trek Nemesis are not straight re-issues. They're expanded / complete versions. Get your facts straight.

Facts are straight. Just more of the same, I'm afraid.

Nothing really new. Hope they throw a few gems (like MIDWAY, THE RED PONY, etc. from previous batches) in the next round. At least one...

Harken back to the good ole days of fabulous Club releases which generated real excitement for me. Others may, and will, disagree.

A little under 700 CDs sold in the last 6 hours. Brass Target continues to sell slightly faster than the three 2000-LE CDs. It's over half sold out. If this rate holds, Brass Target will sell out in 2 days and Abyss will sell out in 3 and a half days, the others longer.

Star Trek Nemesis: The Deluxe Edition (4092 Available)
The Abyss: The Deluxe Edition (2115 Available)
Suspect (1585 Available)
Vibes (1505 Available)
Runaway (1622 Available)
Brass Target (484 Available)

To see what's more popular and give people an idea how much longer they have to place their orders.

It appears they fixed the sample tracks issue and you can listen to them again.

And you're doing a great job of it! Given the tide of releases at the moment, I imagine this is really useful to many people trying to plan their purchases. Keep it up!

You know, seeing that these titles wont ship until January 6. I think it's unfair of them to charge my credit card already.
