I have been trying for 15 minutes to download the Screen Archives website, but I keep getting another site of that name that appears to belong to a company offering web names for sale. Is anyone else having a similar problem? Even when I click on the Screen Archives ad on FSM, I get the useless site. (I am, by the way, in Australia).

Strange. I´m getting the right site. Never had any problems to get there, but sometimes FSM
page doesn´t open.

The website I am getting is operated by a US company called Network Solutions and it is offering me the name if I want to buy it. I'm sure that will make Screen Archives happy!

Finally accessed the real Screen Archives. I hope this is not going to be a regular problem.

I couldn't get it to open earlier this morning either. It opens fine now, though.

I too had this problem this morning, not only with Screen Archives, but also FSM! I went to a different computer, and FSM came up correctly. And now they're both coming up fine on the first computer too. Maybe someone at FSM/Screen Archives momentarily forgot to renew the domain names.

Happened to me too this morning, trying to log onto the message board. I got "Sites Related to Film Score Monthly - Cheap Lawnmowers".

When I tried to get into this site today it tried to sell me renewing the domain for Filmscoremonthly.com.

Something is up

Yea! I noticed that too! I was on my mobile device and had the issue, but once I got to a pc it worked fine. I kept either getting an advertisement to buy the space and then in another it said that the forum wasn't located on the server.

I was like "oh god..."

I know sometimes hosts can have weird issues like this where sites get cross linked. I use to work for a forum that would sometimes get mixed up on the host with another forum. It was annoying... lol

Sorry! I couldn't find this discussion and so, under IT'S HAPPENING AGAIN! posted the following:

Being repeatedly directed to

filmscoremonthly.com and network solutions

whenever we try to log on here. And earlier, while I was here, when I tried to reply to someone's posting, it took me there, when I tried to post something new, it took me there, when I tried to go to General Discussions, it took me there, tried to go to someone's profile (including my own), it took me there. What the heck is going on???

It looks like that other site is compromising access to this one.

Sorry -- but after finally getting through and thinking the problem was over, I was suddenly back to hitting a brick wall!!!!

You're not alone.

I started getting this Network Solutions domain-registration website when I tried to pull up FSM very early this morning around 3:25am Pacific Time.

Eventually I discovered that the Screen Archives website also was defaulting to this strange website.

As indicated, it seemed to be in the business of selling and registering domain names. I'm sure those of us who entered into this "outer limits" territory could be forgiven for thinking that Lukas forgot to re-register his website when the lease ran out. smile

What was curious is that the URL at the top of the page was EXACTLY the proper URL for FSM, but it didn't send you to that page.

Finally this morning I decided to totally re-boot my computer and when it came up again, I could also pull up FSM.

Obviously---at least at this moment---I can read FSM---but as of this moment, Screen Archives is still not coming up properly.

This is all very strange.

Everyone relax. This was a temporary server issue this morning. It's resolved.

And I'll add: if it's still happening either clear your cookies or refresh the page. And if you are still getting re-directed, it could be a sign of an infection.

Just in case.

manderley:

For me, it was about 4 hours after your initial experience with it. I had tried to come here but it took me to the other place, and even when I went out and came back, it was just the same. I was about to email my friend Minna the URL to see what she got, when suddenly I gained access to the right FSM. But maybe 15 or 20 minutes later, the bogus one was back again, although by then I had seen this posting, so knew that others were having similar problems. Funny how we get spoiled and take coming here for granted. Doesn't it make you appreciate this site more?

And Lukas, we past in the mail there, so I will relax!
