Thanks for posting these links. Haven't heard to any of those, except the original Airport, in quite a while (do own the original pressing of 75' though).

I always loved the Cacavas theme, but the arrangement for 77' is actually much better.

The Box Set should definitely include this

I'm putting on my White John Travolta suit.

Somebody turn on the Disco Ball!

Love watching the names go by. Aiport 77 was the first movie with Christopher Lee in it that I actually saw in a theater. On Saturday Night Live he joked about his movies "coming on at 3'oclock in the morning on Channel 9" but that's pretty much how I saw him growing up.

I have cheesy elevator covers of the Cacavas themes but I'd sure love the originals (although they ARE pretty elevator-y as is).

I love that fan made trailer for AIRPORT '77, especially the ending. It's been in my FAVORITES for a long time! A box set of all of the scores would be very, very welcome. I used to own the vinyl album for AIRPORT 1975 but it's long gone now. There's a synthed-up version on iTunes that I downloaded about a year or so ago and while it's nowhere near as good as the original it'll do...for now.

Cheers!

I was just watching Airport '75 yesterday. GREAT music there. My personal favorite is Airport '77. Though I do profess I would buy all the scores in a Box set given the opportunity!!!

It would depend on the cost but yes I would be interested as well.

As for an AIRPORT The Music Scores Box Set,

If they were all on separate CD's and Complete as possible,

I would say a $50.00 asking price would be good.

Of course they would probably include a nice booklet and great Artwork.

Would you all pay $50.00 plus shipping?

Sounds most reasonable to me.

If they could get them all on 3 CD's perhaps $34.95 plus tax and license would be good.

I personally would pay an exorbitant amount for a complete set, but that's only because it's my holy grail. smile

Yes, $50-$60 for the set seems agreeable. If you think about it, only AIRPORT had a domestic CD release, and AIRPORT 1975 just had a Japanese release (which I believe was an LP port). No LP's of '77 or '79...and Airport being the only score out of the 4 to have a domestic release. With all the constant re-releases and expanded scores that are being released today, isn't it about time to finally bring these unreleased gems to light?

I agree too, all 4 scores were solid, i had the lp's for the first 3, years ago, Concorde, i never could find, so i tape the film from video[audio], that would be a nice box treat.

Umm...Airport '77 never had an LP release.

AIRPORT '79 was titled AIRPORT 80: THE CONCORDE in Australia.

Loved the last line of Leonard Maltin's review of the film: "Thank goodness Charo is on board to lend credibility".

Yes you are right, my mistake, in the 90's i did alot of vending in a BIG CITY, it was sought of a second job, i mean any soundtrack out there on lp, i knew about and most i handle in the business, pick up, buy , sell , there was no official release of this LP, and believe me i am a guy who believes in doing the right thing, but i have seen plenty of lp's out there , that was not what we decent people would call, legit, get my drift, well one of the ones i came upon was , Airport 77,in short, in those years i saw it all and as our friend MR Kendall has said over the years, or in so many words, do the right thing and believe me i have, but what i have seen, that is another story, alot of this stuff sounded terrible of course, remember [they probably still do it,] they filmed a movie in the theatres and then sell it on the street.

I would definitely pay for a boxed set. Even the Airport LPs/CD's that were released for the first two films are not complete. I think the Cacavas Score for Airport 77is particularly good. the crash scene, which could have been without any music is actually enhanced by the music cue. That kind of action scoring is not always the case.

Some on FSM or somebody out there. finally give this music it's due!!
