[EDIT NOTE: Due to the helpful feedback below, the title of this thread, previously "UPCOMING VARESE: STAR TREK NEMESIS (DELUXE)" has been altered slightly in order to preserve the mystery of the upcoming release batch.]

Just kidding. It's Nemesis.

Disclaimer: the preceding post may have contained spoilers.

Well when the movie and score came out people were saying it was just a midiocre from Goldsmith who was way past his prime. So I had skipped it.

Ten years later, even autopilot Goldsmith is still better than most of the stuff written today. And the soundtrack release isn't ideal, with a bunch of atmospheric tracks that should have been swapped out for some unreleased highlights.

At least the other thread said there were spoilers. The jerk who started this thread decided to put the title in the header. And because he wanted to be sure no-one would miss it, entered the title in caps.
Thank you very much, you cur. I and many others were looking forward to the official announcement, and sharing the occasion with friends online. You make me sick.

^^ I agree, this thread is in poor taste by revealing the title in the subject instead of using *spoiler warnings*.

It should definitely be deleted.

Fine, fine. I'll change the title.

You think that "change" is funny or something? It's not. Douchebag.

I don't think this was too big a surprise but still great to see Varese continue the Star Trek expansions.

This is exciting however this thread should be deleted. It is poor form to spill the beans before the label was ready. Varese and all of the labels deserve the utmost respect and should be the ones making the announcements for their titles.

I never imagined that knowing before hand what the upcoming releases were would be an issue. I appreciate that I know, and I see the guessing games a waste of my time.If only these labels would stop goofing around.! So forgive me if I do think you all are a weird bunch.

You really need to stop with the name-calling. If ANYONE deserves to be banned, it's you.

Rubbish!
This Forum is about sharing news and info (amongst many other things) If Varese can't keep their new releases a secret then it's their problem. Respect doesn't factor into it!

How was the label not ready? The artwork was done and uploaded and ready to go, just a press a button at some specified time which happens be a day difference.

It's just CDs, who cares!

I look at it this way: by leaking early you get the surprise of the titles AND the surprise of the announcement of the titles! Everyone's a winner.

You also don't have to stay up until like Midnight in LA or 3:00am to see what is being released.

It would make vastly more since to do this Monday at NOON as opposed to midnight.

IMHO of course.
