Anyone who doesn't has a tin ear and no taste! Classic 80's score with a truly memorable and whistle-able march-can't believe it's taken so long to be released. Thanks LLL-even though I'm skint, I sold some minor Goldsmiths to pay for it. Now roll on for Young Sherlock next year from Intrada for another slice of 80's goodness!

I've never even seen a Police Academy movie! No doubt my loss. That being said, the comedy film scores in my collection are minimal (Kaper's Auntie Mame, Williams' Not With My Wife You Don't, Bernstein's World Of Henry Orient, Duning's Any Wednesday). I tend to prefer more dramatic film music. But hey, that's just me!

Actually you're not missing a lot filmwise-they degraded pretty rapidly. BUT I do recommend the soundtrack. Comedy scores are notoriously poor sellers but I think Mr Folk knocks this one out of the park. I usually find most horror scores a difficult listen even things like Alien & Poltergeist-I like the main themes but a lot of the rest leaves me cold.

The thread was meant as a joke, but - indeed: this/these is/are one of the most sought-after 80s scores, and a mandatory purchase for people interested in good, solid American orchestral film music.

Anyone who doesn't has a tin ear and no taste! What a stupid comment. I am not buying the CD, by the way.
