Anyone who doesn't has a tin ear and no taste!

Classic 80's score with a truly memorable and whistle-able march-can't believe it's taken so long to be released.

Thanks LLL-even though I'm skint, I sold some minor Goldsmiths to pay for it.

Now roll on for Young Sherlock next year from Intrada for another slice of 80's goodness!

I've never even seen a Police Academy movie! No doubt my loss.

That being said, the comedy film scores in my collection are minimal (Kaper's Auntie Mame, Williams' Not With My Wife You Don't, Bernstein's World Of Henry Orient, Duning's Any Wednesday). I tend to prefer more dramatic film music. But hey, that's just me!

Actually you're not missing a lot filmwise-they degraded pretty rapidly.

BUT I do recommend the soundtrack.

Comedy scores are notoriously poor sellers but I think Mr Folk knocks this one out of the park.

I usually find most horror scores a difficult listen even things like Alien & Poltergeist-I like the main themes but a lot of the rest leaves me cold.

This thread is about as useless as the one for Gunfight.

Time to be appreciative and happy with these tons of releases. There are lots and lots of amazing releases coming out and many aren't for everyone. This is normal and not worth talking about.

Instead, if you must do a post then please do one about a score that you love and your reasons for loving it. Be happy.

I do believe that was the point.

Despite it sounding too much like PATTON I bought it - this time one copy.

I think I won't, the series is so terrible that even those fragments that came through my defense against ever seeing them, tainted anything associated with them; music included.

The thread was meant as a joke, but - indeed: this/these is/are one of the most sought-after 80s scores, and a mandatory purchase for people interested in good, solid American orchestral film music.

What a stupid comment.

I am not buying the CD, by the way.

I'm afraid I'm not familiar with it. I've never seen any of the films either, that despite the period they were released being my mid teenage years.

I'm not really a fan of 'comedy' scores in general, to be honest.

Never liked the Police Academy March that much,
but I'm buying this puppy based on the Riot Themes.

Robert Folk always know how to score the action, favourites are TREMORS and TOY SOLDIERS.

Not very surprisingly, since you normally gravitate only to Faltermeyer, Hammer, Tangerine Nightmare and other GRADE-Z synth filfth of that same era.
