A Chronology of Music For Spies

In this final chapter of our list of music for spy films and TV shows,
we move into the 1990s and even the twenty-first century, when spies fly
around in rocket packs. No, wait, that was 1965.

Thanks for your continuing genre-music catalogues (I always say,
"why bother?" when I see them, and then I almost always read all the way
through). One note. You list "HOPSCOTCH - Ian Fraser" as if Fraser composed
the music, rather than adapting existing works. In fact, all of the "score"
music in Hopscotch are from works by Mozart and other classical composers.
In the new Criterion DVD of what's become my very favorite spy movie, director
Ronald Neame explains that the Mozart score was ultimately Walter Matthau's
idea, and he even selected some of the pieces.
This is all a pleasant prelude to my most-anticipated Christmas
present (providing Santa comest hrough): your fabulous Man from U.N.C.L.E.
two-cd set! Thank Mr. Waverly(!) you put up such extensive suites to sample--it's
keeping me going until Dec 25.

on your spy film list? And why is Red Scorpion included which shares a
