New CDs Announced
by Lukas Kendall
Here are our two new CDs for the upcoming issue of FSM -- on sale now
here at the site!
A
Man Called Peter (1955) is the lovely Alfred Newman religious score
for the story of Peter Marshall, the Scottish minister who became Chaplain
to the U.S. Senate.
And on the Silver Age side, we have two deliciously obscure Jerry
Goldsmith offerings on one CD: Room 222 -- the 1969-73 television series
with one of the composer's best known TV tunes -- and Ace
Eli and Rodger of the Skies (1973).
Please follow the title links above for more information on each disc
as well as sound clips -- as well as to place your orders! (Or
use the comprehensive order form found here.)
I'm actually writing this from my vacation -- poor dedicated me -- so
I don't have access to the full gamut of news and information and reader
feedback for Film Score Friday.
Fear not, Film Score Friday will resume next week.
We hope you like the new releases!
Free Gifts!
We also have instituted a mechanism here at the website allowing customers
buying more than $50 to select a free gift. We've had that offer running
for some time for orders received through the magazine, we just didn't
have the know-how to make it work for the web. BUT, now we do! So
go here for more information.
